The silver ship appears from a portal just above the bebop, facing a similar angle. A large black circle containing a rippling purple-black translucent veil appears and steadily moves along the length of the bebop several times, slowly covering it in several layers of a material similar to the veil, appearing to repair damage to the bebop and slowly bring it to a controllable speed. (my mind still seems to be drawing a blank most of the time.)
