"Are 你 sure 你 can carry all that weight, Noctus?" questioned Sanae, concerned for him.

"I can carry them home, 或者 somewhere close. The others should be able to see that I brought something, and can come out and help me," Noctus answered. Sanae thought for a moment and realized that he was right. So, she kept quiet for the rest of the trip having nothing else to ask.

The child Noctus found began to squirm, not quite awake yet, but soon to be. Noctus set down the bounty heads, and set down the child. She opened her eyes, to a dark gray lynx with a sword on the ground and a white left arm. Birth defect? What did she know? Oh, now she remembered. The foster home, the vandals, her care taker, and the pervert who had chased after her. Wait a second, wasn't this lynx that same pervert? And that was when she realized she had to run for her life. Either that, 或者 fight him. She could use her power, and she could escape. Brilliant.

In the blink of an eye, she got to got to her feet, and she instantly feel, dizzy because all her blood rushed away from her brain. Still dizzy, Noctus walked up to the panicking child, and picked her up 由 the scruff. She dangled helplessly in the grasp of one of Noctus' hands.

"You've left me no choice. Now I have to fight 你 and 你 will lose," she warned.

He looked annoyed at her. "Pathetic little brat. If 你 really did have powers 你 would have used them on me earlier," Noctus said.

"My eye was blocking me from using this power, but now that it's gone, I-"

Noctus unsheathed his claws, and held them to her face, stopping the child's blabbering.

"This is all I need in order to take 你 down. Do 你 really want to fight me right now?" he demanded. The child gulped and kept her mouth shut. "Smart kid. Now what happened back there? In the city, I mean."

"Those bad men came and threw a brick through our window. My papa..." she tried to say, but she could't finish. Noctus understood her pain, what she was going through. He placed her on the ground, let go of her scruff, and wrapped her in a hug. He remembered back when he was in her shoes and Gatage was in his. Times were black then, but now things are looking up.

The child kept crying, but through her crying eyes, she saw the bounty heads trying to get away from the lynx freak guy.

"The bad m-en are ge-etting away," she 说 between and through sobs within her voice.

Noctus turned and looked to see that it was true. One of them was getting away, while the other one has disappeared.

"Cada!" he spoke loudly to wake up Cada. "Kasarigama Staff!" he commanded.

At that instant, Casa morphed yourself into a separable scythe with a small solid iron ball at the end of its handle. Noctus struck the handle of the scythe across his thigh, and the scythe broke into different but interconnected segments so that the staff could act like a Kasarigama.

Afterwards, Noctus 摇摆, 秋千 around the end with the ball to 包, 换行 around the fugitive's kegs to trip him. The 移动 was successful, tripping the bounty and makimg him eat dirt. Then, Noctus pulled back on the Kasarigsma to get the ball back, and he got the ball back, or, to be mire specific, his face did, giving him s concussion, and knocking him out cold.

Later that night, near dawn, Noctus awoke to his dorm. Tenemae and Cooro were in his room.

"What happened with the bounties?" Noctus asked, rather dazed still.

"Taken care of Menae is still working with them. It'll be something for those bounties to remember us by," assured Tenemae.

"And the girl?"

"Gatage," answered Cooro. "And her name is Yami Hikari."

Menae could be heard right outside Noctus' dorm, moving the fugitives to take them to where the bounty could be cashed.

"She told me what happened to her father," Noctus informed.

"She told Gatage as well. A brick hit him in the head. The old man died. Some glass got in her eye, and that's how she 迷失 it. She has a new one, probably thanks to you, but she can't see through it. Like makeup on a girl," answered Tenemae.

"I can't say I didn't try."

"She also called 你 a pervert."

"Where'd that come from?" Noctus asked, confused.

"From the way 你 chased her through the city. But she's happy 你 caught those guys, since they killed her adoptive father."

"Adoptive?"

"She lived in s foster home, but she was the only one there, so 你 could say it was her home. The caretaker was her adoptive father. She doesn't remember why, but her parents left her in the foster home, and her new caretaker told her about it. That's how she knows," Cooro explained.

"So she's an orphan... Well, at least Gatage will have something to do while he's here."

"He's not taking care of her. He'll have enough to worry about soon," Tenenae assured Noctus.

"So then who will?"

"You."

"W-what!? Why me!?" Each dorm only allows for a certain number of people. We don't want the form to be overcrowded. Besides, you're form has plenty of space. You'll just have to make this place little 更多 child friendly, so 你 might want to stop telling in your sleep," Tenemae said.

"What do 你 mean?" Noctys inquired.

"We... kind of know what 你 dream about now..."

"Great... What was I saying?"

" "Oh, yes, you're so tigh-" " Menae 说 from the hallway and was cut off when Noctus barged out the door.

"You better shut up about that!" Noctus yelled.

"About what?" asked Yami

"About how I-... nevermind," Noctus said, defeated.

"Oh, and Noctus, Menae is hurt. Could 你 help her out?" Cooro asked if Noctus.

"If she promises to keep her mouth shut, I'll fix anything," Noctus answered. He immediately regret it, thinking of the possibilities.

"Good to know 你 don't hold a grudge against her."

"For what?"

"N-nevermind," Cooro said, a bad of sweat rolling down the side of his head.

Noctus, as opposed to posting for answers, decided to just drop it for another time. "When is Tennessee going to be done cashing in the bounties?"

"Soon. She's gotten better with her vectors, and they're better now in a lot if ways..."

"So she'll be back-" Noctus began but was interrupted ehen Menae 说 "now!" as she entered the room.

"What's the problem? I want to get this over with," Noctus said. He noticed that Menae looked to have gained some weight. However, he knew how sensible girls can be when talking about their weight, so he didn't bring it up.

"My hips. They hurt. I think I might have broken something," Menae answered.

"Your hips. Do I even have to ask what happened?" Noctus questioned, aired that Menae would do such a thing to Cooro.

"Well, if 你 really must know, Cooro and I decided to have s little fun, and-"

"Menae, shut up 或者 I won't fix this, got it?" Noctus threatened.

She remained silent.

"Noctus, my breaking doesn't work if I'm not in contact with the skin. I'm sorry to say, but you're going to have to take off her dress and underwear in order to fix the damage," Sanae said.

"You're joking..." Noctus denied.

"I wish I was," Sanae answered.

"Sanae says that in order to fix the same, I have to take your clothes off. It won't work unless she's in contact with her skin. It won't work if clothes are in the way."

Menae smirked, and Noctus gulped. Cooro looked at the two and decided that he'd need to stay to make sure nothing happened.
"Okay, Menae, come on. I want to get this over with, and never have to do this again," Noctus growled.

Some time later, Noctus had finished with Menae and left the room to wash his hand covered in a certain substance.

"What's that," Yami asked innocently, looking up to Noctus.

"Should't 你 be in the room?" Noctus questioned.

"I asked 你 first," she smiled.

"You'll know what it is in about four years, when you're married to someone."

"Why not now?"

"Because if I don't tell you, someone else will. At least that's what I've heard."

"It smells funny," she giggles.

"Yes, yes, I know. Can I go clean this if now?"

"Permission granted," Yami said, imitating a drill sergeant.

Noctus sighed in relief, and went to the bathroom, and washed his hand clean of the substance.

"Why'd 你 wash tgst off your hands?" Yami asked Noctus from behind. Noctus had thought she'd gone back to the room, but she was here, and that startled Noctus off his feet and onto the ground.

"Why aren't 你 in the room?"

"I asked first," she pressed.

"You don't give up, do you?" he asked.

"My 问题 first."

"Because it was disgusting. Why aren't 你 in the room?"

"Because I'm with you," she answered.

Noctus growled at her shrewdness. Go to the room with Gatage and Tenae. I have class to go to afterwards. I have a couple of tests this week. Then I'll go and do things with you."

"I wanna go back 首页 and get some things and to see my papa again," Yami asked.

"I'll take 你 there, okay? Just go with Gatage, okay?"

"Okay," she 说 happily, and ran off to Gatage's room. Noctus then finished drying his hands, and from inside the restroom, he could hear school faculty according her for running in the halls.

"This," he thought, "is going to be one wild furball."

"But don't forget that she's your furball," Sanae chimed in.

"Don't remind me..."
