Rosa hybrida
Family: Rosaceae

There is a Talmudic legend, that tells how the rose became red. At midnight before the vernal equinox, when Cain and Abel were to make their offerings to the Lord, their mother, Eve had a vision. She saw a little 羊肉, 羔羊 bleeding its life away on Abel's altar, and the white 玫瑰 he had planted about it were suddenly full blown and red. Voices cried about her, as in despair, but they died away and only a wonderful 音乐 was heard instead. Then, as the shadows lifted from her eyes, a vast plain unfolded, 更多 beautiful than the paradise she had left, and grazing there were flocks watched 由 a shepherdwhose 长袍 of white was so fine and shining that the eye was dazzled 由 it. He wore a wreath of 玫瑰 which Eve recognized as having lately grown about the altar, and he struck the strings of a lute, waking entrancing harmony. 日 broke, and, dismissing the vision as an idle dream, Eve watched her sons as they went forth to make sacrifice to the deity. She heard the cries of the little creatures of the flocks as they were put to death, and was glad that her children were willing to do this thing in the belief that suffering was agreeable to the 作者 of life and love. At evening her sons were still afield, and as darkness came she went to seek them. Her dream returned to her, and she was disturbed. The fires on the two altars had burned out, and the bodies of the lambs were charred and broken. From a cave hard 由 sounded roarings of despair: she knew the voice for Cain's. And before his younger brother's altar lay the most pitiful sacrifice of all: the body of Abel, cold and rigid; and his blood had bespattered all the 玫瑰 he had planted. Eve sank upon the body of her son, and again the vision of the night returned: she saw the shining one again, and it was Abel who shepherded in the new paradise. He wore the roses, but they were beautiful and fragrant, and, striking the harp in a triumphant measure, he sang, "Look up and see the stars shining promise through your tears. Those cars of light shall carry us to fields 更多 blooming than Eden. There sighs and moans change to hymns of rapture, and there the rose that has been stained with innocent blood blooms in splendor."
Rose Completion, Achievement, Perfection. Meanings vary depending on the color, shape and number of petals. For example, the blue rose symbolizes the impossible, the golden rose the pinnacle of achievement, an eight petal rose regeneration.

Tulipa hybrida
Family: Liliaceae
Common Names: ~Tulipa~

A thousand years ago,Tulips grew wild in Persia. Found in central Asia in 1554. Native to Turkey, Iran, Syria, and parts of Asia. The Turks of the Ottoman Empire were the first culture to cultivate and hybridize the tulip. Persian poets sang its praises, and their artists drew and painted it so often, that the 郁金香 was considered to be the symbol of the Ottoman Empire. Holland has been the main breeder and supplier of new cultivars for hundreds of years. Tulips became a status symbol for the rich, as only the wealthy in Holland could afford them. They were called ~Pot of Gold~ because of their high cost.

In 1610, French ladies wore corsages of tulips, and fabrics were decorated with 郁金香 designs. Most of the bulbs were grown in Flanders 由 monks. The bulbs became a currency, and their value was quoted like stocks and shares. About ten million bulbs were represented in the market. It is believed the word bourse [stock exchange] derives from that period, because those who speculated in the 郁金香 market held their meetings at the house of the noble family 面包车, 范 Bourse. In 1637, speculation became illegal, many people, in Holland, were ruined as prices fell. In the seventeenth century, a small 床, 床上 of tulips was valued at 15,000 to 20,000 francs. 郁金香 mania flourished between 1634-1637… and people abandoned jobs and businesses to become 郁金香 growers. The frenzy spread from France, to Europe. Tulips continued to be prized in Turkey and an eighteenth century manuscript notes that the Sheik Mohammed Lalizare, official 郁金香 grower of Ahmed(1703-1730) counted 1,323 varieties. Annual 郁金香 festivals were held. In the1600s, 郁金香 became the national emblem of Holland. It is the national 花 of modern Turkey.

One of the largest members of the lily family, the 郁金香 has 更多 than 100 species of flowers. There are many varieties and sub-varieties of tulips. An interesting fact is that 郁金香 stems continue to grow after they are cut and will bend toward a 来源 of light. The name 郁金香 originates from the Turkish word, ~tulbend~ meaning turban, because it resembled the colourful Turkish tulband (turban). The word was later corrupted to ~tulipan~ and much later, abbreviated to tulip.

According to legend, a Persian youth named Farhad, fell in 爱情 with a maiden named Shirin. One day, word reached him that she had been killed. Gripped 由 unbearable grief, he mounted his 最喜爱的 horse and galloped over a cliff to his death. From each drop of blood that trickled onto the ground, from his wounds a scarlet 郁金香 sprang, a symbol of his perfect love. Due to this, the red 郁金香 became a symbol of passionate 爱情 in ancient Persia.

Shortly after World War II, the Dutch shipped hundreds of thousands of 郁金香 bulbs to Ottawa, Canada, to 显示 their gratitude to Canadian soldiers for freeing Holland from the German occupation, and for welcoming 皇后乐队 Maria to reside in Ottawa while the war raged on.

The Ambassador of the Roman Empire sent 郁金香 seeds and bulbs to Clusius in Vienna who did not know what to do with them so he planted them and when they matured, he gave a hundred bulbs to his grocer who fried and ate them with oil and vinegar. In 日本 a flour is made from them. In times of famine the Dutch ate 郁金香 bulbs when no other 食物 was available.

Red tulips are used on Valentine's Day. It is 说 that in the 16th century the Sultan of Persia displayed his affection with tulips, 由 presenting a crimson 郁金香 to his beloved as a symbol of the burning flame of his love. The first red tulips were tinged black at the base of each petal which is 说 to 显示 that the sultan's 心 was charred to black coal. Due to this overt suggestion of sexual attraction, the Victorians hardly used tulips as an expression of love. 郁金香 is the ~Flower of Spring~ and symbolises ~ Imagination~ ~Dreaminess~ ~Perfect Lover~ ~A declaration of love~
Variegated tulips are for ~Beautiful eyes~
Red tulips indicate an ~Irresistible love~
Yellow tulips denote a ~Hopeless love~ with no chance of reconciliation.

10. 你 don't even have much of a sheet anymore.
(At least five of these are from personal experience. Pictures would be appalling here.)
This is a true story. If anyone tells 你 it isn't true, they are lying. Enjoy the story of my amazing life. -Lonk

I have always lived in PENNSYLVANIA. I was born in Pennsylvania and raised in Pennsylvania my whole life. I still live in Pennsylvania.

One day, when my mommy named Lonk's Mom was cooking, she realized she was cooking my boots. She stopped cooking, because she realized, those were my only pair of boots. She gazed into the boiling pot and didn't care about the fact that she might burn her hand and dipped her whole arm into the pot and took out my boots. I didn't see my boots,...

There are many reasons why people abandon their dogs. Generally, it is not the dog's fault and often the decision to take a dog to an animal shelter is based not on emotion but on convenience. It is representative of a society lacking strong values--everything is disposable, including pets. People are encouraged to use excuses for their own behavior--it always is someone else's fault. In this case, it's the dog's fault!

Having a dog is a commitment to that animal for 10-15 years and should be a well thought out family decision based on a thorough investigation of the breed and breeder. Most...

Some of what I'm about to say regarding Fanpop.com Website's prevarications is so childishly simple, I fear it may be patronizing to explain; I apologize in advance. But first, I'm going to jump ahead a bit and talk in general terms about how what Fanpop.com insists are original philosophies are nothing 更多 than warmed-over versions of Marxism. Then, I'll back up and fill in some of the details. Okay, so to start with the general stuff, it has been 说 that it breaks my 心 and fills my chest with agonizing pain when I see Fanpop.com violate values so important to our sense of community....

(Literally sat down and typed this out...)

She gave away the secret.
She told him he was my crush.
I wanted her to keep it.
Now when he meets my eyes I blush.

Cheeks are red.
Heart is hammering.
I wasn't mistaken, wasn't misled.
Somewhere, others are yammering.

But in this closet, it's only us two.
This small room is full of me and you.
It should last.
It shouldn't end.

But afterwards, he told his friends.
I was just another girl he got alone.
I was just another girl to flirt with on the phone.
Whenever he was bored, when he had nothing to do.
I wasn't the first.
The first was you.

I met 你 the 下一个 day,
You...

Jeremy:Yeah, why wouldn't I?" ???:"Exactly! Now follow the stranger into this magic portal!" Suddenly, Jeremy felt a rumble. Jeremy:"Hey! What are 你 doing!?" Just then Jeremy blacked out. He then woke up in a castle? Jeremy:"Where am I!?" ???:"Your in Margonia! Names Oliver. Don't 你 know that fictional things are real? THE LEGEND OF HIRO:EPISODE 1, THE HERO'S SWORD
It was a sunny night, in the peaceful state of New Mexico. Jeremy had not been able to sleep for the past 3 days. He had been suffering strange dreams of some...sword. Made of unbreakable 金牌 and had two blades. But the thought of the sword faded as he heard a scream and.....woke up in his bedroom. "JEREMY!!!YOUR LATE FOR SCHOOL!!!SO GET YOUR SORRY SELF TO THE FRONT DOOR!!!NOW!!!" Jeremy knew that he WAS, in fact late, but only 由 a minute. He quickly got dressed and brushed his hair and teeth, then passed his red-faced mother and went off to school....

In the past six months alone, dozens of studies examining the health impact of drinking sugary beverages 或者 diet soda have been published in medical journals. Some suggested a relationship; others did not.

Sometimes, the media coverage of these studies took the researchers 由 surprise.

That was the case for epidemiologist Hannah Gardener, PhD, of the 大学 of Miami. In February, she presented early results from her ongoing research at a health conference, and was completely unprepared for the media attention it received.

The story appeared on all the major networks, in most major newspapers,...

I'm back again! I'm reviewing Godzilla 2014!

Plot: Godzilla must defeat the evil MUTO, with the help of scientists and soldiers.

This movie...is one of the most 电影院 of 2014! The effects were beautiful, the fights were amazing, and everything was just awesome!

Score: 5/5

Music: The score was amazing...the Shakuhachi made the atmosphere feel great!

Score: 5/5

Characters(Heroes): While I will admit that Godzilla doesn't appear til' about 45 分钟 in. And the human characters are alright. Ken Watanabe plays probably the most awesome scientist ever!

Score: 4/5

Characters(Villains): The MUTOs are both amazing! Its a great display of Sexual Dimorpisim (The Male MUTO can fly, and the Female MUTO has eight legs).

Score: 4/5

Final Thoughts: If 你 want to start watching Godzilla movies, put this on the list!

Final Score: 18/20

Would I recommend it? YES

Hi I'm back! And today I shall be reviewing Maleficent!

Plot: The evil Maleficent returns in this modern re-telling of Sleeping Beauty!

This movie should not have been called a "Re-Telling", it's completely different! Why did they make Maleficent the hero?! And the ending made no sense!

Score: 2/5

Music: Now I'll admit it, I thought the 音乐 was so-so. I liked "Once Upon a Dream" was pretty good.

Score: 3/5

Characters(Heroes): I thought that Elle Fanning was adorable as Aurora. And Brenton Thwaites was a pretty good Prince Phillip. The 3 Fairy Godparents were annoying.

Score: 3/5

Characters(Villains): I thought it was an odd choice picking Angelina Jolie to play Maleficent. The odd thing was I never felt sorry for her. She curses an infant for Godzilla's sake!

Score: 1/5

Final Thoughts: If 你 are into villains being shown as heroes, this movie is for you. For anyone else, no.

Final Score: 9/20

Would I recommend it? NO

Well, if this is indeed the 随意 club, I think this is a good place to put a [b]random[b] article.
So, for this 随意 article, I'll be putting some strange yet sort of weirdly interesting facts. Let the games begin:
-Barbie is a nickname. Her full name is Barbara Millicent Roberts
-Hello Kitty is not her real name. A few years back, 三丽鸥 published a book about her, including a family tree, which stated her name was Kitty White.
-Johnny Depp has never won an oscar.
-Mel 相思, blanc, 布兰科 was a man who did every single voice in the majority of the Bugs Bunny cartoons, and his voicing 列表 goes on and on....

Rant 2: Geewuners!

I'm baaack!

Here's something that annoys me: Geewuners!

If you're new to the concept, Geewuners are people who are 粉丝 of 变形金刚 G1 and think that everything is crap! Not all G1 粉丝 are Geewuners, as I like G1 myself. But the difference between me and Geewuners is that I like Armada, Beast Wars, Beast Wars 2, Beast Wars Neo, Beast Machines, Robots in Disguise, Cybertron, Energon, Bayformers, Prime, and Go!

I know that they want to keep their "Nostalgia", but come on, it's not just for you. Just ask the millions of people who watch and buy Micheal Bay's Transformers.

On a different note, people should open their minds to the 变形金刚 4 Dinobots. I know they're not G1 Dinobots, but their not supposed to be!

I just think that Geewuners should open their minds to other series.
