Beast often refers to 动物 in general. While monster can refer to a 'beast' 或者 animal, man, woman, creature, just about anything, it's vague so 你 can use them for as interchangeable meanings. The big difference I'd say being beast is 更多 physical while monster can be both physical and psychological.
