Elain stared at him and her hands glowed blue. "I hate it when people get in my way." She touched a part in the wall and stepped through it. "Bye, Lightwood." She started walking quickly across the lawn to her car, leaving ice where her feet touched the ground.

"Bye, MacUallis."

"Yeah, whatever."

Bennitt leaned against the doors.

Elain jerked her car door open and got in. She made no attempt to start but sat there, looking at the street and passing cars.

Bennitt walked over to the couch and sat next to James.

Elain shut her door and sat in the car. She leaned her head back and closed her eyes. She sang along with the song on the radio. "...In your head. In your head zombie zombie zombie..."

"Ben do I really still need this cane? I can walk fine."

"That's up to mother and father." Bennitt patted James' shoulder. James and Alexa were the only ones he let call him Ben.

*pops out of a random wardrobe* I FOUND NARNIA!!!! *runs out never to be seen again*

She opened her eyes. "Great." She started the car and pulled her hood closer around her face. Elain tapped the gas petal but the car didn't move. "Aww, c'mon!!!!!" She got out and went t the back. "This is so not what I plannned." She started pushing the car, her anger turning her hands blue.

Bennitt glanced out the window and chuckled. "I'll be back." He got up and walked outside. He went over by her. "Having trouble?"

Elain stopped and looked at him. "What do you think? Go away. I can handle this on my own." She started pushing it again, the blue running up her arms.

"You know we can held you fix it."

"You know I told you that I've got this." She pushed it with all her strength and it went forward about a yard. "All I've got to do is freeze the road and push."

Bennitt rolled his eyes slightly. "I swear you women are always so difficult."

Elain's grip tightened. "Don't push me. I could freeze your ass to death. Run along now, Lightwood."

Bennitt leaned against the fence that surrounded the Institute.

Elain pushed it again, making it go further. Her anger subsided slowly. Why can't he just go away!?

Bennitt twirled his stele between his fingers.

Elain threw her hands in the air in exasperation. "I give up."

"You can always stay at the Institute."

"Yeah, well, I've got guardians who're gonna be pisssed of if I don't get back, so no, I couldn't." She reached into her car and pulled out all her shit. "Thanks for the offer, though. I just might take you up on that." She started walking down the street.

Bennitt slid his stele back in his pocket and went back into the Institute.

Elain put her headphones in her ears and turned her iPod on. She rounded the corner.

James walked with Bennitt to the kitchen.

Elain opened the gate to her yard and climbed up the trelas and into her room.

(That's a sweet room! Can I have it? xD)

James hoped up on the counter, setting his cane across his lap. "When will I be able to train again?"

"Soon."

Elain's friend, Elizabeth, knocked on her door. "Elain are you awake yet?"

"No."

Alexa looked at her brother. "Breakfast's ready. Help yourselves."

Bennitt nodded once and grabbed two plates.

"Then why are you talking?"

"Because I can talk in my sleep. If you want me to be awake so bad then come in here and wake me up." Elain plopped down on her bed.

"Isn't it weird how people come in here that we don't even know and then they leave?" James blinked.

Bennitt made him and plate. "It's part of running the Institute."

Elizabeth laughed and opened the door. "Mom and Dad went away for the weekend. They don't trust me or you, so they're making me drive you to the Institute."

"Aww, c'mon! I just came from there!!!"

Elizabeth blinked. "It's only for the weekend..."

"Groan. Okay, let's pack and get this over with."

Bennitt handed James a plate. "Eat."

James nodded and started eating.

Elain got up and went to her closet. She pulled out some random clothes and stuffed them into her bag.

Elizabeth went to her room and packed some clothes. "Let's go, Elain."

ELain grabbed Elizabeth's car keys and climbed down the trelis, scraping her leg in the process. "Oh, shit. These were brand new jeans. Oh well." She hopped down and jogged to the car, geting in and starting it.

Elizabeth got in and waited for her to go.

Elain stomped on the gas pedal and drove to the Hellhole she just came from

"I'll be back." Bennitt walked out and went to the weapons room. He slid two seraph blades through his belt. He grabbed three daggers and put those through his belt as well. "Just in case."

Elain pulled to a stop in front of the institute and got out. She waited for Elizabeth then went to the door.

Elizabeth (the optimist -__-) knocked loudly on the door.

"I got it!" Bennitt went to door the and opened it, looking down at them. He smirked slightly. "Well, well, well. I didn't expect to see you back so soon."

Elain's hands glowed blue. "Shut the fuck up. I came back because my friend and I need a place to stay because her parents are inconsiderate bitches and dumped us here."

Elizabeth punched Elain. "Watch your fucking mouth, bitch." She laughed andturned back to Bennitt. "Anyways... do you thin we could stay here for the weekend?"

"Yeah." Bennitt opened the doors all the way and turned, walking back inside.

Elizabeth followed him in, gripping Elain's forearm. "You really need to control your temper, Elain."

Elain grumbled.

"So what's your name?" He glanced at Elizabeth.

"Elizabeth Roosevelt. No relation to Teddy, though." She looked at Elain's hands. "You piss Elain off easily. No that it's that hard, but still. She never gets pissed off that easily."

Elain's hands radiated blue and it inched up her arms, licking at her skin.

"And I don't even know what I did."

"She's odd like that."

"Let's stop talking about me like I'm not here, please." She jerked her arm away from ELizabeth. "Your hands are going to freeze if you do that."

Bennitt chuckled lightly.

James walked from the kitchen and walked with Bennitt, swinging his cane.

Elizabeth nodded. "Right, sorry. I keep forgetting about that."

Elain hugged her. "It's okay."

Bennitt opened two doors that led to room right next to each. "Here we are."

"Thank you, ummm.... I seem to have forgotten your name. Heh heh..." ELizabeth went into the room.

Elain went in to her room. "Thanks Bennitt."

Bennitt nodded once. "Try not to get lost here." He walked off to the music room.

James followed behind him.
