Anyway, it's most likely something that's developed through evolution for a multiple number of reasons. Being a social species, building strong bonds with one another is ultimately an advantage. This applies to both friendships, romantic relationships, and families.
Romantic relationships in particular, since I'm assuming that's what you're primarily asking about, most likely stems from producing and protecting offspring. It would be much 更多 difficult for our species to procreate if we didn't from bonds with one another, being the social species we are.
Obviously, there's selecting a suitable mate to procreate with and having sex with them, having their offspring, etc. Then there's parenting the offspring, which is better done with two people than one. Of course it's not impossible with one parent, but it's easier to protect the highly vulnerable human offspring with two people rather than one. Having an emotional attachment to the other parent of your offspring would probably make one 更多 inclined to protect that offspring than if they had no attachment to them whatsoever.
So really, when 你 stop and think about it, it makes since that humans fall in 爱情 like we do. It's helped enable our species to grow and flourish.
