Besides, sweets aren't going to satisfy your hunger very well.

So, put those sweets back, and maybe 下一个 time you're at the store, buy some if 你 really want sweets.

So long as you're aware of the consequences that stealing the 食物 may have- such as losing your job 或者 perhaps worse things- and if you're really starving and have little money, then follow your morals. Even if stealing 食物 to feed yourself is morally right in your eyes.
