What is a hipster, and why do people hate them so much?

Hippies? Thats far off.
Basically, its kinda like the urban artist stereotype.
They wear vintage type of clothes, usually has a scarf.
Idk, its kinda hard to explain it.
They think they're too cool for normal crowd things. Thus, the meme "I liked ____ before it was cool".
I probably know 更多 but I can't explain it very well x.x

Hipsters are people that go against society norms, well, that's what it meant to be.

Many people do not like hipsters because some insult people who do go with society norms, some aren't even hipsters but claim they are, some boast about themselves being hipster (which can get sort of annoying).

So, now, being hipster IS a society norm, so the whole purpose is defeated.

To me, being hipster doesn't really make sense. Just be you, whether being 你 aligns with society norms 或者 does not.
