嘿 everypony! :D
Today I wanted to make an 文章 about what age group MLP FIM is foucused on. I don't normally make 文章 but I thought this one was important and deserved to be disscussed.

Now, we all know what MLP FIM was supposed to be for. It was originally created for a much younger audiance. The Characters were easy to understand and had 更多 ways for kids to connect with the characters. Don't get me wrong, there are still plenty of ways for the kids to interact with the characters, but now it seems like the 显示 is pushing towards older audiances.

For example: Discord and Trixie. In my opinion they are the most loved and memorable Villains from MLP. This Season (Season 3) The Hub Decited to make both of them come back in ways that were not expected. To me having both of the villains come back in the same season is overwhelming. Right now I wish they had posponed Discords return for a later season. Not that I don't like the episode but 3 major villains in the same season just seems like too much. And the fact that both Trixie and Discord turned nice in the end bugs me. I mean I like how they are nice and all but I think it would of been better if Discord remained a villain at least till a later season.

Another thing: Keep Calm and Flutter On. That 标题 is kind of odd to me. For one thing It has nothing to do with the episode. Well I guess it kind of does but still. 秒 of all it is another version of Keep Calm and Carry on. It is something that almost every teenager had heard of and relates to them well. Most younger kids have never heard of Keep Calm and Carry On and probly never will.

Don't get me wrong. I 爱情 MLP! It is one of my 最喜爱的 things in the world right now. Its just I feel like the 显示 is 更多 for Teens than Younger kids like my sisters now. The characters are still the same and stuff but Its just... I don't know why, but it bugs me a lot. I know a lot of 你 will not agree with me and thats fine. This is just how I feel and I hope 你 can see my point. I'm Sorry if this 文章 made 你 upset in any way. That was not my intention. :( Please 评论 if 你 want. Thanks.

DisneyFan333 I hope there is at least someone out there who agrees with me... :( If your upset at anything that I said in the article please tell me. I don't like to make people upset, if anything I hate it. I'm sorry if I upset any of you. I hope you will forgive me...

Quillabex I kinda feel the same way too, yet there isn't nothing we can do about it. I agree that the fact with three villains in one season is overwhelming and some of the episodes are such a surprise. In the beginning, it felt like the audience was for 7 or 8 year olds and below but now if feels like 7 and up, if you know what I mean. And I know about the last episode that it's something about a Princess Coronation, and if you look up the wiki it's basically like Fallout. By the looks of that, it feels a bit more pushed to the older audiences...

DisneyFan333 True True... I was wondering that too Quillabex. I was surprised when I found out there was only 13 episodes. Maybe they are going to split the season in half. Since 26 (The normal # of episodes per season) divided by 2 = 13 maybe there will be a second half coming later in the year?

Edvine2 ^ You didn't read my comment on the MLP:FiM wall regarding the matter did you? To summarize, Season 4 will happen. To the above, I can only say this: Holy crap, but because of the way the series is going, it may be no longer weird for me to like the show! For the record, I hate Trixie like I hate Dungeons and Dragons: Tactics(a PSP game I seriously recommend not wasting your money on): vociferously. Sombra was more of a minor villain than a major one; the Major Villain award surely goes to Discord. Yeah, he's "good" now, but I know for a FACT that he will be back and more chaotic than ever. The whole 13-episode season thing when the previous seasons had 26 was a puzzling change, but the quality of the episodes up to this point tells us that they care. And lastly, it surprisingly bugs me that Rarity didn't get an episode this season. She got at least one in the other 2 seasons. Can't win 'em all, I guess.

DisneyFan333 @Edvine2 I can see your point there and I understand how the episodes have really improved in quality. However I must say that I still think it is pushing towards older kids instead of younger ones around my 2 sisters ages (3 and 6)

Quillabex I think the Princess Coronation has to do with Rarity some how because in the gallery you can see her shop is locked up and ruined

80smusiclover I love my little pony with all my heart and I think that it should always remain for kids. And it has been one of the most popular toys of the 80's. Bronies don't understand that there are other MLP generations and if they didn't exist, FIM woudn't have existed, and the show is intended for young girls and their parents, not for teen and adult men! oh, and I've heard about the Keep calm and carry on craze but I was like ''What in the world is that?!'' and why did they even use it on an MLP episode? If they make a fourth season, the episodes should be more kid friendly not adult oriented! I hope you understand this because it is unusual and not good if a toy that has been popular in the 80's becomes adult oriented in the present. And this show should be a children's cartoon, not a sitcom! Thanks for understanding.

KotokoAihara I agree completely with your article. However, I don't see this a bad thing. As a teenage fan, I like that the stories are more complicated, darker, and deeper. I have a younger sibling who is closer to the age demographic and she loves the new season as much as I do. I don't think children will dislike the show because of these changes. I do think that some parents may think this show is too dark for them to watch because it at least to me the show is heading for something big and possibly more serious.
