He was the last of the 4 friends...James, Sirius, Peter, and finaly...The last one of them died...Remus Lupin....Terrible, because he died right with his wife Tonks...

Fred's was the one I was most upset about, but I was so mad that Dobby, Tonks, and Lupin died.

poor Fred! i was really sad when Hedwig, Snape, and Dobby were killed too though.

I cried when Fred died.. :( and when dobby died and when Hedwig died. And i even cried when Harry broke his wand. I was a wreck reading the last book. I think i cried through the whole thing. But Fred and Dobby's deaths were the worst. I was hysterically crying through both. RIP.

It's just about a tie between Dumbledore and Sirius. I was on a train when I finished the 5th book and I was sobbing! It was really embarrasing. And I think that everyone probably thought I was crazy...

Fred dying was terrible, but i think i was in such a state of shock throughout most of the last half of the book that i didn't think about it too much. Dumbledore dying in book 6 was traumatizing for me haha. he's probably my all-time favourite fictional character, with Gandalf a close second (i have a thing for old wizards), and i bawled for *hours* afterwards.

in hindsight, it's was actually hilarious. i was living at home for the summer, and i went upstairs after i'd finished reading, blubbering hysterically. my mom saw me and figured someone (real) had died and she drops everything and does the "omg, what's wrong?" and i go "he.. *sob*.. killed.. *sniffle*.. DUMBLEDOOOOOREEE!!" hahahaha.

Sirius came as a shock. He was my favorite. Dumbledore was old enough that it wasn't so bad.

In all the deaths of book 7, Dobby was the only one that hit me. Maybe Fred's as well. But the other deaths in book 7 were...well, honestly, they weren't written well enough for me to feel anything.

I sorta knew that Remus was dead before I actually read it, but I didn't think she would be so heartless as to kill both him AND Tonks after they just had a baby! I had to put the book down cuz I couldn't see to read through my tears.

Now truely, i cant see why so many of you chose Dumbledore? In the final book (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) It clearly states that he was already dieing because of the cursed ring, and that Dumbledore wished Snape to kill him...It was to protect Malfoy...i dont think that its all that heart breaking once i read the final book....but in the sixth, i was tramatized...

I could not chose between Dobby and Sirius but...i just loved Sirius too much though when DObby died i was crying my heart out! lol

I didn't see this one coming at all.. I was pretty much expecting the rest of them, except for Dumbledore's, but his makes sense to me.

Plus Fred and George have been my favorite characters since perhaps the second or third book, so many years ago!

I am not sure why, but I was also very traumatized by Hedwig's death.

When this happend I was saddend, but "here lies Dobby, a free elf" OMG the tears were flowing. And I cried evenly throughout the rest of the book.

That was one of the saddest moments in all the books i LOVED Dobby but I think The Twins shouldn't have been separated like that i mean poor George

I totally agree! I had two heart attacks, when sirius died my heart broke and when dumbledore died i cried for two days, for sirius three... she just kept killing people off!!! DAMNIT! And fred also made me cry in the last book.

It was a toss up between Fred and Sirius. When Sirius died, I had to re-read the page like 5 times before it actually sunk it that he was dead. Fred was just really shocking because I felt for his brother George. It really sucked the break up the pair... if any Weasley was gonna die, it should have been Percy.
