Is it just me 或者 is the 显示 getting a little to different to the books?

I am a huge 粉丝 of the gossip girl series and living in New Zealand I've found it hard to get my hands on them all to finished 阅读 the whole series so I brought them all from amazon, so being a 粉丝 of the 图书 I was delighted to hear they were being turned into a show, even 更多 so when i found this site and the 链接 and 视频 of the shows that are posted. Although I really 爱情 the 显示 and am totally addicted I am finding it to be becoming 更多 and 更多 different to the books.

I mean there was no chuck/blair in the books, what happened to blairs stepdad & brother should they not have made an appearance 由 now (though maybe its to come later) and jennys mum? where did she come from she's not in the 图书 neither is lily? although not so much of a big deal.

Is it just me 或者 should they keep the 显示更多 similar to the 图书 i think they were starting to get off the track and i thought the 图书 were amazing without any of the other extras the shows added in.

what do 你 think? The book way 或者 the 显示 way? How do 你 like it?

mbally500 i like that its different from the books, it doesnt spoil or ruin or not do the books justice because it is so different. it is good that i dont have to keep thinking, the books told that story way better, which is wat i always think when i see a harry potter film :D

tabitha i agree that the books are better cos the characters are more interesting, like Vanessa being bald and Nate smoking pot and Dan being a poet etc. and yeah, when is Blair's stepdad & stepbrother gonna appear? i heard they might be coming out soon. but i guess you don't wanna really watch what you've alr read right? so the change is good, to me :D

naleyfan4ever i want jenny and nate to be together like in the book now that blair and him are over the writers just need to make it last longer it would be a good twist for people who haven't read the book and for people who liked it the way it was

lurrssh im from nz too and have read all the books. i think the show is awesome but will never be as good as the books, coz like someone already said the characters in the book are way more interesting. also chuck and Blaire together? if youve read the books it just seems ew. is it just me or does it seem like everyone seems like way better friends in the show then in the book e.g Blaire being nice to Jenny?

angel_02 yea i totally agree with you the characters are more interesting in the books, thats why i love them so much. I just hope they do the nate/jenny part cos that was interesting. Also notice how jenny doesn't match her book description? And there wasn't her mother in the book till like the last 2-3 and she wasn't in husden. hope they don't miss some of the good bits though

missangi I wish it was like the books....yet I think the books are a little to "R" rated for TV

NoLeafClover I've never read the books, but I love the TV series. I guess it's like alot of movies and stuff when they're turned into movies from book series, that the director changes it around to be more "TV/Movie worthy" or whatever...

angel_02 Although after seeing the promo for the next episode i have to admit that they've done good. I mean they've got every character in the show somehow, even if they are totally different, i mean they have Georgina sparks but she's just not the drug addict champion horse rider that had the thing with Nate like in the books. But kudos to the writers and producers of gossip girl for including every character, I love it!
