迪士尼公主 Article: Is Aurora literate?

(More a "question piece" than an "opinion piece"...commentary will be very helpful for my third and final write-up on Aurora's personality)

I cannot remember if I read this somewhere 或者 if I misread something about Rapunzel who has three books... but Aurora seems to have 2 books?

Now, if this is correct, then I'm so happy! Partly because it supports my belief that she's educated (=obviously literate) well beyond the regular peasant, but also, makes her all the better of a role model which might make her 2nd fav princess now (Sorry Cindy).

Historically speaking (=14th century, 1300s), she is set well before Gutenberg's printing press (=1450s) and thus 图书 would be very rare and very expensive. And not only that but she was probably in one of the least literate demographics: teenage; female; peasant.

And then I just wonder what they are about? Most likely something religious 或者 maybe even some epic/heroic folk poem (like link)?

...So, what do 你 think that highlighted box is? Have 你 ever noticed it before? And what do 你 think if they are, indeed, books!?

Annabethandco Maybe one of them is her own story. After all, Belle read her own story lots of times.

MacytheStrange Hmm, very unique article idea! Those shapes are almost definitely books, but for all we know they could be Flora's cookbooks or something. And I don't really think it changes much if she does like reading, it wouldn't affect her or the story.

Swanpride Well, I always thought that the fairies gave her a proper education to prepare her for her later duties (not that all nobles or even kings were literate back then).

Review of 花木兰 the movie-part 1

So, this is probably the last thing I'm going to do for 花木兰月 : A review, 或者 ,in another words, my praise to Mulan.

Here are some 随意 thing I noticed while I was watching the movie for the 7th time this month.

I'm bad-ass

The movie starts with the 《勇敢传说》 Chinese soldier. He lights the fire, which is for some reason, very risky. Many people complain how in this movie, Chinese nation is obsessed with honor, pride and things like that, but I don't see nothing wrong about. Comparing 迪士尼 girls to other movies: Ariel

Anyway, we're going to start with comparing Ariel to ECHANTED. I have watched it and it is VERY funny. The main character is Giselle, who is kind of all the 迪士尼 girls mixed. She has animal friends, cleans after people, and so on. Her prince is Edward, but instead HES the one with the evil stepmother. Apparently she's very kind to everyone. And It's a musical as 你 can imagine....

Yep. Sorry,Cinderella fans. She's at the bottom of my countdown. I mean,it's not that I don't like her 或者 anything. I 爱情 her. She's kind and beautiful like all the other princesses and her movie is great,too. It's just that it seems like she's the most typical princess and has the most typical story. I understand it's very well known but still,it seems to be told 更多 than any other fairy tale. So,she's just not as exciting to me as the other princesses. But,hey,I'd choose her over Hannah Montana any day. ;)

[FYI: I'm completely cutting out what happens in Pocahontas 2 for my convenience,(not that I don't like Pocahontas 2, but I don't want to bring in 更多 than one man for Pocahontas. John Smith seems to be the 最喜爱的 anyway.) So this segment takes place right after John Smith's ship leaves for England at the end of the first movie.]

Why We 爱情 Belle

As 你 can see from my icon-avatar-thingy, I just adore Belle from the bottom of my heart. Why? Oh, only a hundred reasons! But, to make it short, I'll 列表 just a few. :D

I. She Loves Books
Obvious enough. The first couple of scenes of the movie, we could see her talking enthusiastically to the baker about a story she just read. Then, she proceeded to go to the bookstore and borrowed (or as it turned out, given) a book that she read all the way to her home.

Now, this gave positive remark to all young girls out there that they should read and be imaginative like Belle. After all, I, who fell...

Review of "Tangled" Trailer

So I was searching the internet trying to find pics to use on the site(and finally learn how to uplaod pictures!) when I stumbled across a work-in-progress 魔发奇缘 trailer. Apparently, it leaked out and someone 发布 it one youtube. At first I thought "OMG OMG A 魔发奇缘 TRAILER!!!!!!!!!", but I was sadly dissapointed.

From what I saw in the trailer, it looks a lot like the male lead is the major focus of the film, with Rapunzel as the hot chick he wins over. Their was a bit to much humor for my liking, but it's a trailer so oh well. In summary, this is the best I can explain it.

Loving them!!!

Hi guys, I decided to write another review on 《冰雪奇缘》 again after the first one was short, I also attempt to sound frank and straightforward than my first one. Here we go:

Scenery

The scenery reminds a lot of Tangled, except for the fact that it's set in Norway and it really brings a great introduction to Scandinavia through a 迪士尼 movie. That I would 爱情 to go to Scandinavia, not just Norway.
I'm really happy that Arendelle is set at as a countryside near the sea and the mountains that it reminds me of my time in Salzburg, Austria. As it brings pleasantness and joy to it.
