I opened my eyes to find a strange girl looking at me. She was beautiful. She had clear green eyes, wavy reddish 橙子, 橙色 hair and wings. Wait, WINGS?! Did that mean I was dead?! I grasped my heart, to feel if it was beating. It was. It also felt almost scorched.
“A-am I d-dead?” I managed
“Surprisingly, no. Thanks to your boyfriend, you’re still alive” she smiled
“W-water. D-do 你 have any?” I asked. She nodded then dribbled a bit of water into my mouth.
“What happened?” I managed
“I was walking on the sidewalk when I heard a huge boom. Then Kid Flash ran out, looking for help. I was in disguise, so he didn’t recognize me until I took of my jacket, 展示 my wings and my mace. He brought me to the interrogation room, where I found 你 on the floor, surrounded 由 your team. I rushed over and checked for your 心 beat. 你 didn’t have one. I tried to re 泵 your 心 with my hands, then my fists. Nothing. Then I remembered when something like this happened to Green Lantern. I brought my mace to your heart, and then put the electricity on, using it like a defibrillator. Luckily, it worked. If I had been even a 秒 later, 你 would have been lost, forever.” She explained
“Is that why my skin over my 心 feels scorched?” I asked
“Yeah, sorry about that” she apologized
“S’all right. I’d rather be burnt then dead” I 说 “Who are 你 anyways?”
“My name is Shayera Hol” she 说
“That’s such a pretty name. Where are 你 from?” I asked
“Thank you. I’m from Thanagar, a planet far away” she explained
“I remember now! You’re the Thanagarian girl who used to be known as Hawk Girl until she quit the Justice League. After 你 returned, 你 went as Shayera!” I exclaimed
“You seem to know quite a bit about me” she smiled
“You are my idle!” I explained
“Really? 你 do know the whole story, right?” she asked
“Yeah. I do. That’s why I like 你 so much. 你 did what 你 believed was right, even though it was hard” I smiled “Where are we anyways?”
“In the interrogation room, where the bomb blew up” she replied
“Where’s the team? Where’s Joker?” I demanded
“Your team is in the lobby and Joker is back in Arkham” she explained. I got up and walked out the door into the hall. Shayera was right behind me incase I fell. I made it almost the whole way to the lobby before I stumbled. Luckily, Shayera caught me. She carried me the rest of the way. When I got to the lobby, nobody saw me. Before anyone moved I noticed Artemis and Wally holding hands. Wally’s hand was on top. Then they saw me. Everyone rushed over and I pretended to be unconscious. Shayera noticed and played along.
“Is she okay? What happened? Will she live” came the chorus of questions

“I’m really sorry, but I couldn’t save her” Shayera said. I sensed them all lower their heads. I mouthed the word ‘laugh’. Shayera started to laugh. I sensed them all look up. My eyes snapped open and a 说 ‘Boo’!
“I couldn’t save her from some minor cut, scrapes, bruises and burns!” Shayera explained
