Ravage Part III 5


Chapter Twenty:



Artemis grabbed another guy and slung him to the ground, but didn't kill him 或者 wound him badly. That was her motto. Few followed it. Even few escaped her.

Artemis was weary from battle. It was all she had been doing for the past two days; too afraid to sleep, too afraid someone would murder her and she would never see Wally again. 

或者 Sam. 或者 M'gann. 或者 any of her friends. Everytime she thought of them, she wanted to cry. But to cry in this arena would be to 显示 weakness. And she wasn't going to let that happen. 

She had gathered three people she trusted with her life. Literally. Jain: A nineteen 年 old girl who had the amazing meta power of causing her enemies to sleep. This partially freaked Artemis out, but the baby-blue Tron outfit she sported seem to resolve peace within Artemis. 

The 秒 was Harvey. He was a "pretty boy" for sure. Tall, dark hair, dark eyes, of Indian descent. He sported a dark green outfit that matched his power to control taiga related items. Unfortunately, in an inferno, that did him no good. Still, Artemis liked him. 

The final was the now deceased Sarah. The girl had dyed green hair and bright green eyes to match. Curiously enough, she had controlled the white-blue lightning her suit sported the 颜色 of. Sarah had died after being thrown from a hundred foot ledge. Into a pool of lava. The poor girl.

Artemis was fierce herself. She had ripped her white T-Shirt above the stomach to resemble the 最佳, 返回页首 of her Artemis outfit. Her green pants were ripped, and somewhere, she had found a utility 带, 皮带 she had made her own. Her blonde hair was still tied in a 小马 tail and she had taken the lower half of her 衬衫 (the part she had ripped off) and wrapped it around her head like a warband. 

She was currently holding position in the middle of the culling. She knew Wally was coming for her.  He'd probably call in a favor from Nightwing. Get the whole Team Out here. She didn't know, all she could do was survive until they got here.

Eventually the battle subsided and her 老友记 convinced her to sleep, promising to wake her should enemies arrive. 

Artemis dreamed. Not surprising enough. She normally did. But what surprised her was she dreamed of the time when she had discovered her relation to Sam. 


Dark rooftop at midnight, the Black Hero's back was turned to her, cape flapping in the wind. She had silently grappled over. But he had heard her.

"Tell 蝙蝠侠 I'll reconsider joining the Team." he said, standing up and turning around. "On one condition."

"What's that condition?" Artemis asked, putting her hands on her hips and cocking her head to one side.

Revenge's 下一个 移动 shocked her. He pulled off his mask to reveal his blonde/dark hair and crystalline blue eyes. She has been shocked to see the face of Samuel Grant beneath. 

"Okay..." Artemis began, but Revenge cut her off.

"I don't see any way 或者 reason to break it to 你 gently, so.." the Black Hero took a deep breath before proceeding. "I recently engaged in a battle with a criminal who placed something in my blood meant to corrupt my DNA."

"The one I saved 你 from." Artemis said.

"Yes." Grant replied. "I went and had my DNA tested just in case. It was fine, but something else came back. My DNA belongs to three people."

"So one of your parents cheated on the other. So? Why should I care?"

Sam laughed. "It's different when I'm not the boy billionaire, isnt it?"

Artemis frowned and Sam continued.

"Anyway. One third of course belonged to dad, another third to mom, but guess who the last third belonged to."

Artemis's stomach tensed up.

"And one third..." Grant 说 dramatically. "To Lawrence Crock."
