He sat alone in his room, staring at the ceiling. The clock tick-tocked in the silence. He rolled over, glancing at the picture. Of her. He sighed and put it down so he didn't have to look at it. A knock sounded at his door. He ignored it. The door opened.
“Still moping I see.”
“Hnn.”
The intruder stepped inside and closed the door.
“At least you're still alive.”
“For now.”
“And how many hours of sleep did we get this time?”
“Two.”
“Because of her I imagine.”
He sighed, feeling the weight of the intruder on his bed. He rolled over to look at him.
“Terror, how long will 你 mope? We've all missed you.”
“I hurt, Zero. Can't they respect that?”
Zero lay down 下一个 to him, staring up at the ceiling.
“You've never acted this withdrawn before. They're worried you'll never get out of your slump.”
“And 你 aren't?”
“I know you. If I give 你 time, you'll heal. I'm 更多 worried about her.”
“Why?”
Terror put his head on Zero's stomach and Zero placed a hand on his head.
“She's falling in and out of 爱情 with you. She's playing with fire. She'll eventually see the truth in her 心 and be hurt.”
“Do 你 know what that truth is?”
“Yes. She'll see that, despite all her wanting to 爱情 you, she actually doesn't. You're just her safety net. But we both know 你 can't be tamed 或者 kept on a leash. You've released her to the wind, she'll try to keep a hold of you. To make sure your monster doesn't hurt others.”
The room fell silent except for the clock. It was like this for several 分钟 before a sound from the other side of headquarters brought them out of their thoughts.
“I've wondered at the feeling in my heart. I thought it was because she loved him more. But now I see it's because we aren't tied at the 心 like she is with him.”
“That's right Terror. But that doesn't mean someone else isn't tied with you.”
“I know.”
“C'mon Terror. Let's get 你 out of here.”
“Why?”
“You need to get out. And I have a surprise for you.”
“Tell me.”
“Your 最喜爱的 thing in the world.”
Terror moved his head to look at Zero. His friend was smiling at him. In a sudden movement, Terror had his arms around his friend's neck in a hug. Zero, although startled, smiled and hugged back.
“Thank 你 Zero.”
“You're welcome my 心 broken monster.”
