Spelling is important.
Grammar is important.
Especially when involving words…
In today’s world, written word is growing 更多 and 更多 common. With the fairly 最近的 introduction of text messaging, email, IM services, social networks, and online self publishing (which is what we’re all doing here on 潮流粉丝俱乐部 when we post articles, and what I am mainly addressing), it is not only important how your words sound, it’s just as important, if not 更多 so, how they look.
link* to me, some people seem to believe that spelling and grammar is not at all important in these self publications.
Just to 列表 a few examples I’ve come across:
" so what if [your spelling] is wrong it just mean that u r 写作 this from ur 心 and not really caring about the spelling"
This, I can see this person’s point, but that is what a rough rough draft is for. (I don’t know if rough rough is the proper term, but that’s what my 12th grade English teacher called it)
" dont tell me what to do. A lot of people 爱情 my articles....they dont care if things are spelt wrong....your not wiser, 或者 smarter then me soo leave me alone. "
This, I find to be very ignorant.
Yet another one.
" o wow come on who cares if her spelling is messed up!"
Please, let me tell you.
(I have quoted three different people. I’m not targeting anyone)
Why spelling is important:
Spelling can be defined as a code that uses letter sequences to represent specific words that have an associated pronunciation and meaning within the mental dictionary.
As stated above, how your words look is very important. Your eyes need to actually see this code before your brain can decode it.
Some people read strictly for the content (newspaper 或者 magazine article, movie review, and so on), but many other people (many people on Fanpop) read to feel something. To get into the writers mind and truly relate to the story. 阅读 around typos and misspellings is very annoying and takes a little too much 更多 effort than it’s worth. It makes 你 think to yourself,
If the 作者 doesn’t care enough about what he/she is saying, then why should I even bother 阅读 this?
NONE of us want that.
Some of 你 may consider bringing up this little item:
“I cluod not blveiee taht I cluod aulaclty uesdnatnrd waht I was rdanieg. The phaonmneal pweor of the hmuan mnid. Aoccdrnig to a rscheearch sudty at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoatnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer be in the rghit pclae. The rset can be a taotl mses and 你 can sitll raed it wouthit a porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter 由 istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe. Amzanig huh? Yaeh and I awlyas thgouht slpeling was ipmorantt.“
I admit, this isn’t the most difficult thing to read, but it’s not the most enjoyable thing to read either. As a writer, 你 don’t want people to just read your stories. 你 want them to enjoy the experience and feel the urge to do it again and again.
The difference between a spelling error and a typo:
A typo is generally an accident, such as 你 hit the wrong key 由 mistake, whereas a spelling error is, in a way, intentional. 你 honestly believe the word is spelled a certain way, when in reality, it’s not.
Example:
I always feel ridiculed when users 评论 on my horrible spelling.
Typo: I alwsys feel ridiculed when users commment on my horrible spelling.
Notice how on the keyboard, the s is right 下一个 to the a. This is a simple mistake I’ve seen almost everyone make. Adding an extra letter, 或者 leaving one out is also very common, along with reversing the order of two letters.
Spelling error: I always feel ridaculed when users 评论 on my horrable spelling.
There’s not really any simple slip of the finger that would justify this. None that I can see 或者 understand, at least.
When speaking, spelling means absolutely nothing, but when writing, it makes all the difference in the world.
I was going to include why grammar is important as well, but I feel I’ve been typing forever, so I’ll end it here.
*I only did that because I 爱情 The Killers.

I sat alone.
No one came up to me, none asked if anything was wrong.
I sat alone.
In the corner, where everyone saw but no one noticed.
I sat alone.
I had no friends, I was not ‘cool’ enough for them.
I sat alone.
No one knew my mother had just died from cancer, no one cared.
I sat alone.
Surrounded 由 my thoughts, but no people. 由 my words, but no friends.

I sat with a girl.

On a foggy 日 ,
Following the light ,
Running far away .
There was a little car ,
Driven 由 two children ,
Made out of plastic and gum ,
With a fake license number .
And the car was the product
Of one’s imagination,
It was the guide through the forest
Of his life’s interpretation.
And the forest was dark
And hunted 由 狼 ,
Full of tears and pain
And of smiles went to vain.
And this kid was an orphan,
Slowly rushing through life ,
Searching for his mother ,
Waiting to be held tight.
He is 迷失 and scared ,
Yet unstoppable ,
Cause all his life he’s spent
Walking through that forest.
We ain’t all lucky and rich
或者 have families.
The truth is we only have ourselves,
To make our own journies.
This orphan’s an example
For those who don’t know ,
That that forest is the rode
We all have to go on .
First person 写作 is when the characters is speaking directly toward another person(You). 你 use words like "I", "Mine", "We", "Us." The character is telling the story to 你 themselves.
Second Person
Third person is the exact opposite. Instead of the character talking to you, the narrator is talking about the character. Your main words are "You", and "Your."
Third Person
Third person is almost similar to 秒 person. The narrator is talking to you, but instead they use words like "He", "She", "It", and "They." Third person 图书 often have the most detail.

If 你 爱情 him,
Tell him so.
If 你 爱情 him,
Tell him not to go.
The very worst,
He can do,
The very worst,
He can do is say no.
Don’t hide away,
Wishing all day,
Don’t hide away,
Just come out and say.
“Yes, I 爱情 you,
I’ve told 你 so.
And if 你 爱情 me,
Please don’t go.”

Little raindrops shiny,silver,
Dropping silently into the river.
A girl sitting quiet,alone,
Her smile is fading, her hope is gone.
It faded really long ago,
That sounds sad,i know.
She quickly wipes away a tear,
It's her secret so no one can hear.
She secretly cries every night,
It's her fate,so she cant fight.
She touches a raindrop and goes back inside,
She is so lost, she's losing her pride.
All she asks for is a friend,
Someone to be there and understand.
So help her to make her dream come true,
There's always something 你 can do.
Dropping silently into the river.

inch 由 inch
bringing me closer
to my doom
蝴蝶 of
anticipation
flutter nervously
in my stomach
knuckles whiten
jaws clench
what have I
gotten myself into
the suspense
is killing me
I'm going to hate it
I'm going to 爱情 it
I might lose my lunch
but I don't care
heaven help me
here it comes...
...
I hold my breath...
...
and then
I scream
my stomach
drops
my breath
is stolen
my heart
is pounding
adrenaline
courses
through
my veins
amid screams
of sweet terror
I fling up
my hands
and ride on
the wings
of Thrill!
I remember the 日 I fell in love.
Not just simple love.
No, this was head over heels, I'd die for 你 love.
I remember where I fell in love.
A small middle school in a small town.
A place 你 could easily miss.
I remember the my matchmaker.
A short women, but with 更多 火, 消防 then 你 could ever imagine.
更多 passion for what she does then I had ever seen.
I remember my girlfriends who were with me.
My athletic, sassy, fun-loving chicks.
