The 'ships/couples come second.: i only watch shows in which i really like the story lines and plot of the show...not just the couples. but there are definitely shows i like in which the couples play a major role in the show--- so the couples help make me love the show. for example, one tree hill is a soap opera or "soap opera-like" so it bases a lot of the story lines around the couples. there are definitely story lines that have nothing to do with the couples...but i think most of the story lines on the show revolve around the couples (it would be hard to watch the show if i didn't like any of the couples because the couples play such a huge role in the plot). but buffy the vampire slayer, angel, and friends are my other favorite shows....and on all those shows the couples take a back seat to the plot and story lines. those shows are about soooo much more than just the couples-- the couples are almost just an added bonus. while buffy & angel are my OTP, they are not the reason i watch buffy the vampire slayer, and they are not the reason i love buffy the vampire slayer....but they are a huge added bonus to the show (as well as so many other couples on the show). posted 一年多以前. last edited 一年多以前

Some of my semi-faves and the ones I just plain like, the ships are the main reason I like the show. Sometimes, a great ship is all I need to keep going with a show I would otherwise not enjoy.
