Instead, I'd use Jehan du Moulin, Frollo's little brother from the book, as comic relief. In the book, he runs away from Frollo and helps the gypsies out, so he doesn't have to be a bad guy. In a perfect world, Esmeralda would end up with Frollo, but my sick fantasies aren't very good for a G-rated movie, lol posted 一年多以前.

	maryksand picked No, it's perfect the way it is: I actually think the movie was perfect, it doesn't have to be like the book because movie and book are two entirely different things, the story is quite different (the only common thing is Frollo's obsession with Esmeralda) and characters have different personalities: for example, Hugo's Esmeralda is a naive innocent and a bit silly girl while Disney Esmeralda is a strong, brave and smart woman. I like both book and movie for different reasons. I wouldn't change the Disney movie even though I liked that someone suggested to include Frollo's brother from the books into the plot of the movie, it would have been interesting + I'd give Phoebus a song. But the movie didn't suffer from the lack of good music or interesting characters, it was perfect. posted 一年多以前.
