What is the meaning of prudence and discretion?Please explain me in simple words

They are almost synonyms but if 你 look them up and be 更多 meticulous 你 can make out they have difference..

Prudence

- wisdom; the good judgement in practical matters;
- In prudence, what 你 choose is the wisest and most practical decision.

Discretion

- tact; the good judgment to avoid upsetting others.
- the freedom to choose. In discretion, what 你 choose may be the wise decision 或者 not.

being careful and cautious
