The reason for the long wait was explained 由 the president of programming for USA. He 说 that they had to make room for 更多 shows, and because Psych is one of the 更多 流行的 shows, ironically that had to be pushed back until the Fall.
There could be a number of reason for it's lateness, I'm hoping it has NOTHING to do with season 6 possibly being the final season. I started watching this 显示 in it's third season and can't imagine my Wednesday nights without Psych. Shawn and Gus make me laugh until I cry.

I don't think the sixth season will be the last, at least I hope not. There have been rumors of a 7th season.
