The moon shone its rays over the treetops, lighting up my way. The forest was silent, except for the sound of my beating heart, which I hoped only I could hear. This was a suicide mission; it was either do 或者 die. If Blowhole was defeated, I would finally get my revenge. On the other hand, if I lost, I would not have long to live.
I almost jumped out of my feathers when an owl screamed at me to get out of his territory. I think he was afraid that I was going to steal his mice. I would not loose sleep over it. I had sworn never to eat a 老鼠, 鼠标 again unless it was a dire emergency.
Have 你 ever eaten a 老鼠, 鼠标 before? Let me tell you, it tastes like monkey spit. Even worse, the 老鼠, 鼠标 wriggles inside your beak until 你 crush it. I cannot even think of it anymore. It is like reliving horrible memories.
It was time to roll. I slid over to the side of the shed. Listening carefully, I picked up breathing, slow and deep breathing, in fact. There was a sleeping guard. Lightly, I jumped inside to face the enemy. I shouldn't have worried. The guard was sleeping.
As 你 all know, the guard was a lobster, a red one in fact. There was an elevator on the face of the 墙 farthest away from me. It was probably once an old mining shed. I waddled over to the lift.
In order to open it, the elevator required a pin code. Going back to the lobster, I found what I was looking for-the pass code written on his name card. Grinning, I shook my head, amazed 由 at the stupidity of sea creatures.
Typing the 密码 to the pad only took seconds, and in less than a minute, I was heading down to Blowhole's lair. The lair was huge. Blowhole had really let himself go this time. I wonder how much it all cost.
I heard voices and feet coming from around the corner. I only had a 秒 to act. Looking around, I spied a stack of boxes over at the corner. It was perfect. I slide over and hid behind them just in time. There were three lobsters.
It would have been easy to knock them all out, but to do that, I needed to be able to make some noise. I was trying to be quiet. The lobsters noticed the open elevator door. "Hey,someone is late again," 说 龙虾 One.
"The boss ain't going to be happy," answered 龙虾 Two.
"It is not our problem. Come on, I'm hungry," joined in 龙虾 Three.
The lobsters left the room. I let out a sigh of relief. The elevator dinged as it reached the surface, and I took my cue, slidding out to the corridors, keeping an ear out for any other intruder.
I found a storage room where I took out my map of the place. I was about one 分钟 away from Blowhole's lab. I put the map away, making sure that it was tucked in tightly.
A 分钟 later, I was hiding behind a stack of boxes yet again, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. Suddenly, the lights went out. I thought I had my chance. I jumped out of cover and ran blindly into danger, planning a kick at the sea mammal's face, only to find that someone had beaten him to it.
It was flying fast, complete with my pure cold hatred for Dr. Blowhole; I slammed into the 墙 feet first and felt burning pain shoot through my leg. It was still usable, however, just a mere sprain, but it hurt like anything.
I surveyed the lab. Everything and everybody was in chaos. Blowhole himself lay on the ground unconscious. Something landed near my feet. It was a smoke bomb. Smoke began filling the too , but through the mist, I saw the shadowy shapes of four penguin.
