Outside, Alice threw us the fish. I didn't get many, though. After all, there were many of us.
After Alice had 给 us the fish, she counted us. After counting me, she counted again. And again.
"Huh," she said. "Yesterday there were only five penguins."
She took out a SmartPhone and clicked away on it. I really hoped that the records had changed right. I watched her, while I was hoping and wishing.
Ivy walked up to me and asked me what was wrong. I nodded. She asked me again. I kept watching Alice, then Ivy realized.
"Don't worry," she said. "I know what this feels like."
I turned around and looked at her.
"You snuck in here, too?"
"No," she said. "I shipped myself here. Alice didn't really notice, so I got worried. But now I know..."
"She doesn't really care," I finished.
"Exactly," Ivy said. "You know, we may have 更多 in common than I thought."
"Uh, okay," I said.
"Oh, there are six penguins," Alice said. "Whatever."
Then she walked away.
-------------------------------------------------
"Good, now 你 can finally finish your story," Private said.
"And with no interruptions," Skipper said.
Everyone sat down again. I waited for Rico to calm down. As always, he had had too many fish.
"Hey, are 你 going to finish your story 或者 what?" Ivy exclaimed.
"Sorry, I was just waiting for Rico to calm down," I said.
"Rico never calms down," Skipper said. "I think 你 should have remembered that."
"Hey!" Rico said.
"Guys, stop, just let Johnson finish his story!" Ivy cried.
Everybody quieted down. Rico muttered something that I just
couldn't make out. Oh, yeah. Rico never really did calm down.
"Okay, so the girl brought me to a room, where a vet examined me. She put a bandage over my wing, then wondered aloud how I had got there.
Then she left the room, and came back in with a small cage. She stuffed me in it, and put me out with the other animals."
"So 你 did become one of those..." Kowalski started.
"SSHHHHH!!!" Ivy exclaimed. "For crying out loud! Am I the only one who wants to hear this story?"
"Nevermind them," Private said. "They're like that all the time."
"Okay. So, I'll , finish," I slowly said. "I stayed in the cage for a few hours, then the girl came back and took me out. She played with me and made me a little bed.
I stayed living that life for a few years. Then, I remembered 你 guys, and how much I missed you. I escaped and after about four years, found home.
I'm back to present time, story's over."
"Can 你 repeat that, I wasn't listening," Skipper said, in stress.
Ivy and Kowalski were still arguing. Skipper was trying to separate them, and it wasn't going so well.
"Okay, just a sec," I said.
For a few seconds, I sat on the floor. I remembered all my good times and my hardships. I knew that this was one of the good times.
I was glad to be home.
(P.S. Johnson should be in all my other fan-fics and stories.)
