Okay, this has been going on for a while now, and with PoM recently losing at the KCA's to Spongebob, it seems like a fresh new wave of hate's spreading over the site. I have to know, why does everyone hate Spongebob so much? It really bugs me, because I know how it feels to have people flaming our spot, and I can guess how it would feel to have people talking about PoM so regularly as a horrible 显示 that they hate. In fact, I think some of us see now exactly how it feels.
Yes, he won the KCA. Yes, if it weren't for Spongebob and his millions of 粉丝 we would most likely have that blimp. But is that really a reason for hating on them? Did Spongebob 显示 up at the KCA, hack the computer, and change the results so he won? Did the Spongebob 粉丝 sneak up into Tom McGrath's house at night and slit his throat to ruin our show? No! They voted for their 最喜爱的 show, just like we did! It just happens that 更多 people prefer Spongebob over PoM. The KCA isn't necessarily a competition between which 显示 is better. I think it's just like any other election out there; it's a popularity contest, and Spongebob is SPONGEBOB. He's a cartoon legend! Whether his show's better 或者 not, he's got legions of dedicated 粉丝 out there that 爱情 him and his 显示 unconditionally! PoM will have our turn to shine when it comes, and until then, can we not blame all of our problems on Spongebob?
And, I have to add now, that every fandom will have it's idiots. But maybe, just maybe, we had it coming? Just something to think about, and hopefully we can settle this matter peacefully.
