Who is Rumple talking about when he says "Well, like you, I was abandoned as a child. Some spinsters took us in."? The spinsters didn't take both Rumple and Malcolm, so who was the "us" Rumple was talking about?

I've never heard anyone from Britain using the term "is" instead of "me". Is it specifically a Scottish thing? 或者 maybe the "us" was because at the time Rumple was meant to have a sibling but that idea got dropped.
