Why is so many people annoyed at Joanna being cast as Ariel?

Actually Little Red was 8. Plus if we're going to be technical Snow White was actually 8 years old in her original story. Anyway I'm actually happy Joanna got the part of Ariel. Ever since I heard rumors of her possibly being Ariel I've been hoping that she'd get the part. I 爱情 her in Reba! Besides she's very youthful looking and is WAY 更多 convincing to play a teenager than Jennifer Morrison and Lana Parrilla , who played younger versions of them characters as teenagers. I find it weird that people don't even think she's pretty either. SHE'S GORGEOUS! The only women 更多 beautiful than Joanna is Miley Cyrus (no I'm not on crack) and Judy Garland. She's 更多 beautiful than all the women on the show, even Emma. Besides that she's a great actress and looks enough like Ariel. Oh well, people didn't really like Emilie being casted as Belle until they actually saw the episode Skin Deep so maybe people will 爱情 Joanna and think she's gorgeous when they see her as Ariel.

Doesn't bother me at all=) Don't really know Joanna as an actress that well but judging her looks I think she's perfect for Ariel. I will let her surprise me in season 3. ^.^ Don't really know why everyone are so focused on age. She looks really young on the pics... She could have fooled me. :)

I think most people don't like her because they want Ariel to be sixteen. I personally don't think this is the direction the 显示 is heading with her story (they've changed everyone else's story). If they do intend on making her sixteen I will be a little disappointed as Joanna does not look at all sixteen but I'm going to wait until she appears on the 显示 before I form any opinion.
