"It's the same thing every 日 with you, isn't it, Ranma!?" I screamed, clutching my small black piglet tightly to my side. "You wake up, go to school, then come back to our Dojo to eat our 食物 and irritate P-chan and I!" I glared at her dripping-wet face and chest, ignoring the loud clanks of the damp wooden bucket I had hurled at her moments 以前 as it clinked down the steps.
"I'm only trying to keep that pig away from you, 你 stupid macho-chick!" Ranma yelled in return.
"P-chan in my pet, dummy! I want him with me!"

"Oh my..." Kasumi sighed from the 厨房 doorway with a steaming pot in her oven-fitted hands. She placed the pot on the small 表 that lay in the middle of the Tendo living room, then stared back up at the fighting girls as she passed.
"Nabiki," she continued, "I'v been so worried about Ranma and Akane these days. They've been fighting every time they get 首页 from Furinkan High, and it's always been about that piglet of hers."
Nabiki took the ice cream she had been sucking on away from her mouth and gave a bored glance to her older sister.
"Just give em' some time to cool off, Kasumi." she said, "I'm sure that stuck-up teenager will return to their annoying self soon enough."
"I meant Akane, sister."
"So did I." she took a 秒 ice cream from the freezer and hopped out the back door to the porch.

"You don't know what you've gotten yourself into, Akane!" Ranma screamed. "That 'pig' is Ryoga!"
"I'v heard it all before, Ranma Saotome. 你 don't have to tell me again!" I whined, referring to the many times Ranma has tried to convince me to compare the similarities to Ryoga Hibiki and
P-chan, himself. Why does he try so hard to take P-chan out of my life?, I would ask myself from time-to-time.
"No, I am serious! H-He'll turn back! Just 你 watch, Akane!"
Before I could stop her, Ranma bolted for the 厨房 for a glass of hot water. When I realized what he was doing, I scoffed and payed no attention to his act of foolishness. I hooked my palm around P-chan's tiger-striped bandana and waited for Ranma to return. I felt a gentle but desperate tugging on my hand, and I looked down to find that P-chan looked extremely determined to escape my grasp. It pained me to watch him suffer, so I loosened my grip, and watched him with wide eyes zoom into the 厨房 where my fiance had entered. The only sounds where the clicking of
P-chan's tiny hoofs until a blood-curtailing female shriek came from the kitchen, as well. I gasped and stumbled backward as Ranma ran back through the door at lightning speed, sloshing a bucket filled with transparent liquid, and P-chan attached to her bleeding arm, teeth sunk into the flesh of the Martial Artist.
"RANMA--!!" I exclaimed, holding my hands against my steadily beating heart. In the moment, I almost felt bad for him, until, with a strong flick of her wrist, P-chan was flung across the room and hit the 墙 with a loud, shattering, smack. 更多 painful than I had ever screamed before,
"P-CHAN!!" is what escaped my lips before the same sound of the 拍击, smack, 味道 would be heard again when I hit Ranma across her face. The piglet was limp in my hands as I held him 秒 later, and my body felt as if something small, evil, and cruel was tugging and snipping at the strings of my heart... and it was bleeding.

While I sat on the floor with silent tears dripping from my eyes on to P-chan's body, from behind me, Ranma quietly walked over and kneeled beside me. Without a word, she reached out to take the pig from me. I made no movement to stop her. When P-chan was in her hands, I heard her softly tap his cheeks and snout, saying his name a few times, then she began to whisper, "Ryoga. Ryoga, buddy, wake up! C'mon! For Akane! Wake up! She's crying." I whipped around, and my eyes flashed with cold anger.
"Don't 你 get it, 你 big jerk!? YOU KILLED HIM! You... 你 killed P-chan..."

As if on cue, Kasumi and Nabiki stepped into the room to find us both silently staring at P-chan, though I was the only one sobbing.
"Oh, dear..." Nabiki said, putting her hand on her mouth when she saw my tears.
"I will get some hot water for you, Ranma." Kasumi said, as she scanned over Ranma's female form, then headed to the bath. Not with my eyes, but with my ears, I knew Ranma had gotten up, and in a few moments returned once again with a glass of cold water. She gave me that signal with her eyes that meant it was time for me to let him down.

Not in all my years of 阅读 true, sad tales have I ever been so shocked to see an animal bounce back! As soon as the chilly water hit his stomach, P-chan's sparkling black eyes shot open, and he stared into our faces, almost seeming to smile. My mouth formed into a huge grin as he leapt into my arms. I wept new tears; tears of joy, as my arms wrapped around the diminutive animal. To busy embracing my pet, I didn't hear Kasumi's heals make their way down the steps with a pail of boiling water. When I turned and saw her, I exclaimed,
"Kasumi! Look!"

... Mistake. My startled older sister flinched with a moe shriek, and the pail flew from her hands. The liquid from the air-borne wooden bucket immidiently exploded in a steaming splash on my lap, soaking my legs and P-chan's whole body. Before I could I could ignore the incident; before I could think, interrupted thoughts of joy vanished, and all that went through my brain was this:

What is this incredible weight on my lap?

... Is this a person I am holding?
