What's your Harry Potter story?

My mom began 阅读 them to me as bedtime stories when I was less than a 年 old, so I've been falling in 爱情 with these characters for all 15 years of my life. :3

I remember though, the first HP movie I saw in theaters was CoS when I was 6 或者 7 and Mrs. Norris being paralyzed scared me so much I had to leave the movie. Yeah I didn't even make it to the snake. xD

There was this 随意 night when I was about 8 and I couldn't sleep, so my mom got out the first movie and we watched it together. I thought it was pretty cool, so the 下一个 morning we watched it again with my brother. He liked it, so she read the first book and half of the 秒 book aloud to us. Then the 秒 movie came out in theaters, so we went to see it, and the 下一个 morning I finished the 秒 book 由 myself. Since then, I read the rest of the series 由 myself and saw the 电影院 the first 日 they came out with my mom. It became sort of a tradition with us, and it makes me even sadder that the 电影院 are over because of that.

tl;dr My mom introduced the series to me and I thought it was awesome.

When I was 6 my father got me Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets video game .. that was the first time I know that there was something in the world called Harry Potter and I'm addicted to it since then up to this very moment and no doubt forever .. surely I'm gonna pass this fever to my children

in 6th grade my best friend read it. she LOVED it and begged me to read it. believe it 或者 not i didnt really want to. i thiught people were over exaggeration about it. i read it and
loved it from the first page!!!

When I was younger I thought 阅读 was for nerds, and Harry Potter was wierd - though I didn't know a thing about it, the only thing I had seen of them was the trailer to CS, where I saw Harry flying and then Dobby - thought he was disgusting.
Then when I grew older, I started being interested in 幻想 books. And about one and a half 年 ago, the Harry Potter 电影院 were showed in the television. I thought I would watch, and now I am a real Potterhead.
Actually, the first book I read was Deathly Hallows, which my friend happened to have on her bed-side table... it was really annoying, cause I hadn't even seen OotP and HBP!!!
I did read them in correct order afterwards, and bought them all.
I have now just started on OotP for the third time.

My brother actually got me hooked. When I was little he would read me the 图书 and then when I was about three I saw the movie...Thanks brother

I saw the first film when I was 6 opening weekend with my family and instantly fell in 爱情 (Neville made that movie for me <3). I watched Chamber of Secrets with my family and loved it, too! When I was 8 (no Potter films in 2003 ):) I decided to read the books. I read the first 2. My dad helped me with book 3 (I was a slow reader don't make fun >:/) but 由 the time I got my hands on book 4, I freaked out about the length so I didn't read it LOL. Anyway, I decided to stay faithful to the films. I watched Goblet in the theaters and (surprise) loved it. But 由 time Order of the Phoenix came out I 迷失 interest in Harry Potter. The movie only made matters worse. I just stopped liking it after that....
Oh and I saw most of Half Blood Prince in the theaters while waiting for Bruno, it was pretty good :/

Anyway, 2 years go 由 and Deathly Hallows Part 1 comes out. Feeling bored I decided to cue back into Potter to see what all the hype was about. I saw DHP1 and LOOOOVED IT (I had an emotion breakdown when Dobby died) even though I had no idea what was going on. So 由 summer of 2011, I finally get the time to go back and watch all of the 电影院 (by that time I've seen the first 2 plenty of times but only saw 3-5 once so I didn't really remember it). After my insane emotional breakdown after Deathly Hallows Part 2, I read the books. They were amazing. I couldn't put them down!

When i was in 5th grade my best friend all ways try to persuade me too read it i 说 no i thought it was boring but finally from the school 图书馆 i checked the 1st book out i read the first page and i like then i read the whole series in 5th grade

I'm ashamed of this...but I first read the Deathly Hallows to impress this guy named Gibson. Then, I found out that Severus was in 爱情 with Harry's mom and instansly I was obsessed.

I was in 秒 或者 third grade when I picked up the 秒 book in the school library. We were being rushed so I just grabbed the book off the shelf. When I started 阅读 I fell in 爱情 with it. I was still 阅读 it when I got 首页 (I had about 5 chapters left) and my mom asked my what I was reading. I didn't want to stop 阅读 so I just showed her the cover. She told me to let her know when I finished the book. Once I did she brought out the rest of the series (well the 图书 we did have at that point 3-7) and told me I read the 秒 book instead of the first. So the 下一个 日 I got the first book and read the whole series in order. So even though book two isn't my 最喜爱的 it will always have a special places in my heart.

I remember that I decided to read the 图书 after watching the third movie in the theatre. I was in 爱情 with the Ron&Hermione relationship. I had already watched the first two 电影院 at 首页 and really liked them. I was 16 years old when I started 阅读 them. I instantly fell in 爱情 with the story. I am 23 years old right now and I can honestly say that I am still a proud Potterhead.

Well,... let's see. When I was 6 或者 7, I first saw a Goblet of 火, 消防 poster from a magazine. I'm sorry, but I didn't take notice at it 由 that time and I put it somewhere in the storage with other old magazines. :P
3 years later, about Oct 2007, I watched Chamber of Secrets movie and I quite liked it (except Dobby, sorry). In the following day, my friend brought the book CoS. However, to the 10-year-old me, it was too thick and I used to like comics. Therefore, once again, I quickly forgot about Harry Potter. :(
Last February, I broke up with my boyfriend. So, my cousin gave me some of her movie DVDs, including Half-Blood Prince in order to make me happier. I was really impressed of it, especially the last parts. <3 That was the time I decided to explore the world of HP.

BTW, about the GoF poster, it's currently on my bedroom's wall. My parents don't seem to be happy about it. :P

I was about 6 when I seen something on the news about the HP books. I ask my mum if she could get me them. She got me the first. It took me ages to finsh I was a slow 阅读 and I had a hard time siting still. I remember being exited want I read about a cat (Minerva McGonagall) 阅读 a sign. XD

Well my sis had a friend over so my Dad and my Mom were going to watch it so they asked me and my brother if we wanted to watch it so we 说 "Yes" so we watch the Sorceress Stone and we loved it soo a few 日 later my sis has no friend so she dicides to watch the 秒 one called "The Chamber of Secrets" and we loved it soo last night we all watched the third one called "Prisnor of Azabaskan" sorry if I didnt spell that last word right so anyway we were going to watch the fourth one called "Goblet of Fire" tonight then we didnt we have six of them. Alright thats my story.

My dad told me to buy harry potter and the sorcerer stone in bookshop when I was 12, that was the first time I heard about it (the movie hasn't come out back then), he read HP review in some paper and just 说 I have to read it, the first think that 交叉, 十字架 my mind

I never saw any of the films in the theatre, but waited until they came out on dvd's so I could watch them in the privacy and quiet of my home. That way I was not interrupted 由 someone being noisy around me. I have read the first two 图书 and working on the rest. But 爱情 the stories and write my own 粉丝 fiction for Harry Potter.

It was 2010. So long 以前 right? Lol.
I had nothing to read and was bored one night,so I went over to my book shelf and picked up the 6th book and began to read it. I was confused but loved it. Then it became an obbsession from then on..

I had heard vaguely of the 电影院 and 图书 when I was younger, but my parents wouldn't let me read 或者 see it due to something they had read on Focus on the Family's website. I didn't really care at all if I couldn't have anything to do with Harry Potter.

I had seen blips of the 电影院 and a program on the making of the movies, and that was it for a while until this January, when I started 阅读 the Wikia. I got Sorcerer's Stone at the 图书馆 and I now own and have read the 下一个 three books, as well as having seen a few of the movies.

I may have missed the good times, all the premieres and book signings, but I guess the magic can come at anytime. :3

Well, when I was really little, my dad tried 阅读 the first book to me, but I didn't want to hear it. About a 年 ago, my grandpa's neighbor gave him all seven books. He let me take them 首页 to read them. I loved them! So, I have my grandpa to thank.

Don't judge me, but I didn't start 阅读 Harry Potter till this year, after the first movie came out. I was quite sick of everyone talking about and me being like what are 你 talking about, so I sat down and started reading. I loved it! I was hooked. I finished the series in three weeks and then started on the movies, which I adored, and now I'm a Potterhead :)

I'm 13 so i really don't have much of a story..

I'm not much of a reader so i didn't read ANY of the books..but i wacthed all of the movies..i started wacthing them when i was only 11 but i really didn't have so much intrest in them,but i did like CoS so i watched it alot..when i turned 13 i wacthed DH 2 i was so confused when i watched it..so i decided to watch all of them..i watched all of them in exactly 2 weeks...so now i'm a Potterhead but only from the movie side.
