I don't think he needs a patronus. Dementors are like his friends..

Bellatrix... He's so secretly in 爱情 with her that his affection appares in the form of a patronus. That's why he doesn't use the patronus charm much, he's afraid someone might find out about his true feelings for his servant.

Just because someone is a criminal, doesn't mean he doesn't have happy memories 或者 enough magical skill to perform a Patronus Charm (which 由 the way could be performed 由 a whole bloody lot of 13-15 年 olds during DA classes and thus can't be that difficult). Dear people, please stop picking on Death Eaters.
