Legitimate Reasons (I hope :x)
Harry Potter
1. The plot is intricate and detailed, covering easily 更多 than forty-three years (from the time Voldemort rose to power, to the epilogue in DH) and seven 图书 with hardly any 问题 left unturned. The subplots, which may seem mild and unimportant in book one, actually end up being important later on (case #1: Harry learning to fly becomes important later in book one).

2. The characters are deep and complex – there's a lot 更多 to them than meets the eye and JK makes sure that we know it (case #2: Severus being an 屁股 to Harry). She had every detail of their lives on file – from their relationship with their parents, to their first (and sometimes only) loves, to the events that made them into the characters we know and love.

3. Details. JK went into every single detail imaginable about everything. There was nothing about character backgrounds, the way things worked, what things looked like that she didn't know and didn't share (if it wasn't in the book and a 粉丝 wanted to know, she'd tell us in interviews). We saw what she saw.

4. Lessons. No, not every book needs to teach lesson (IMO, the best ones do, but I digress), but Harry teaches a lot of lessons, and good lessons as well. It teaches good will win, in the end; 爱情 conquers all; never give up, even when it seems impossible; stand 由 your friends; everyone has both light, and dark inside them; being 《勇敢传说》 isn't always easy; it teaches about prejudice; fame isn't everything; 你 can find 爱情 in unexpected places; loss is a part of life. (case #3: Severus turning his whole life around for the better)

5. There are few (if any) flaws in JK's 写作 (and very few plot holes, but that's beside the point).

6. There is some relateability for everyone. Every been punished for something 你 didn't do? Ever 迷失 your best friend over a little mistake? Ever been bullied 由 a teacher, been accused of lying, watched the one 你 爱情 go with another person? Ever been looked over, belittled, had everyone think 你 were worthless? Ever been picked on for being too smart, 或者 not to smart? Ever 迷失 a loved one and blamed your self for their death?

7. Mythology. JK didn't change a lot of the mythologies around (and, no, wizard's don't really melt when touched with water. Go read Wicked 由 Gregory McGuire – something 你 should do anyway 'cuz it's an awesome book – for conformation). We are familiar with most of the creatures JK uses. She doesn't need to spend extra time building up and telling us about their strengths and weaknesses because we already know them.

8. No rules are broken (like, physical and mental capabilities) are broken throughout the series for Harry. His flaws, weaknesses, and strengths stay the same throughout the series.

9. Originality. There were very, very few stories (movies, books, t.v. shows) about a wizard going to school back when Harry Potter was written.

10. The racism/prejudice and incest is shown to be a horrible thing and we see the detrimental effects it has on both wizarding society and culture.

Twilight
1. The plot is quick and simple, and doesn't involve a lot of thinking and over-analyzing what everything tiny detail could possibly mean four 图书 later.

2. New spins. Like it 或者 hate it, Meyer did put a new spin on both 吸血鬼 and shape-shifters. She pulls us out of our comfort zone and puts us into something new.

3. It's easier to visualize a place that actually exists.

4. The 写作 is much 更多 relaxed and modern. There's no odd words 或者 phrases.

5.It's usually easier to relate to a character when 你 see the world through their eyes, hear their thoughts (a.k.a. first person). Bella was a normal, every-day, “one-of-us” type of person. She went to high school, drove a beat up, 秒 hand car, had separated parents, and had simple, everyday classes like Math, English, Biology.

6. Research. Meyer looked up the Quilettes and how they lived before applying it to her Quilettes.

7. Love. Many characters 显示 true, genuine 爱情 towards each other that has lasted for centuries.

8. Twilight has good lessons as well: Good things come to those who wait; 你 really can be anything 你 want; 你 can achieve any goal 你 work for.

9. Descriptions. We see what Bella's sees, in a vibrant, distinctive way.

10.It shows teens that sex in a relationship isn't everything. It is okay to wait instead of doing it like bunnies the first chance 你 get. It's even okay to wait until marriage.

Opinions
Harry Potter
1. Much 更多 emotional. 你 really feel what the characters are going through (case #4: Percy and Ron's anguish at Fred's death).

2. Much 更多 “realistic.” It's not at all realistic that a girl finds out a guy she's talked to once has been sneaking into her 床, 床上 room and watching her sleep, only to have her go, “Oh! I hope I didn't say anything embarrassing in my sleep!”

3. The 写作 style is captivating and fluent. It really drew (and still continues to draw) me in.

4. Still, after ten years, there are things that surprise me. Even now, I'll read the 图书 and go, “Wow, I never noticed that before!” (case#4: In the first potion lesson, Severus doesn't look at Harry's scar once, he keeps his eyes on Harry's green eyes. On Lily's eyes).

5. The 表演 in the 电影院 is much, much better.

6. The ending. There was not a single character who didn't suffer loss 由 the time the Final Battle had ended. It taught, not only that dying is natural, but also showed good examples on how to deal with that loss.

7. Research – I suppose this could fall into the detail part as well. But JK went through tremendous lengths to make sure that every spell was (pretty close) to it's Latin meaning. That every name matched up with the characters (case #5: “Sirius” was the “dog” 星, 星级 and his animagus form is a dog. Severus means “sever.”)

8. The 爱情 is actually shown, and shown in a true, realistic, and relateable way. There are also 更多 types shown in Harry Potter – familial, platonic, unrequited, true.

9. Unpredictability. There were very, very few places where I could predict what was going to happen 下一个 (and be right about it).

10. It was 更多 fun. There was adventure, sports, crushes, humor, trials, competition, sneaking around after dark, breaking into Severus' storage, rumors, mass murderers, ghosts, were-wolves, vampires, magic spells, potions that could turn 你 into furry things, trolls, goblins, swords.

Twilight
1. The guys in Twilight are, for the most part, the “secret 幻想 guys.” They're rich, attractive, powerful smart, caring, and utterly devoted to their girls.

2. Bella stands up for what she believes in and risks everything. She stands up to Edward when she's pregnant with Renesme and stands up to Charlie when he says he doesn't want her seeing Edward. She risks her life both to save Edward and to keep Nessie (twice).

3. The story proves that, no matter how 你 start out, 你 can get your happy ending.

4. It's not a romance that revolves completely around sex, as most romance novels today seem to.

5. It's inspirational: Bella, who is really nobody special, manages to find and happily keep her dream guy, “soul-mate”, other half (whatever 你 want to call it). And she didn't have to searching for him – she wasn't even looking for him – she found him in the lunch room.

6. Familiarity. We know and 爱情 vampire 爱情 stories. We know the struggles they face, the dangers of their relationship. And yet, their still wildly popular.

7. There is such a thing as “love at first sight.” That's what Bella and Edward is supposed to be.

8. It gives hope that not every disagreement needs to end in a bloody war.

9. Bella and Edward have a lot in common. They also 显示 that 你 can still have interesting conversations, after four years of being in a relationship, even though they are together all the time (not as easy as one might think).

10. Many people, including Bella, do better when they are in relationships. Their partner, much like Edward does for Bella, brings out the best in them. Edward brought out Bella's bravery, independence, and confidence.

It's called "Daughter of Darkness" 由 V.C. Andrews.

This book was just aweful. It's about a 17 年 old vampire girl named Lorelie Patio (Mary Sue alert!) whos only purpose in life is to be her Daddy's sex slave. This book is filled with shallow evaluations of beauty, anti feminism, poor morals, and disgusting turn of events.

Lorelie has three sisters who are manipulated and emotionally abused 由 their father. The worst thing about it is that it's never seen as a bad thing. It's disguised as fatherly love. None of the characters recognize the manipulation 或者 abuse. 你 have to read between the...

Here are some excerpts that were cut out of the Twilight 图书 for various reasons. Some of 你 guys might find them interesting and maybe help 你 understand 或者 see something 你 didn't see before.

These are copied from Stephenie Meyer's website

--------------------------

"Sometimes, in the editing process, sacrifices must be made. Some parts are cut because they slow down the action, others are cut simply to condense length, others are cut to simplify the plot. And, whatever the reason behind the removal, some cuts are 更多 painful than others. This page is dedicated to the cuts that I miss...

1. Ask him why he doesn't have such a cool scar.

2. Call him The-Guy-Who-Let-The-Boy-Live.

3. Smile during Death Eater meetings and say 你 taught him everything he knows.

4. Remind him that he isn't even really alive.

5. Ask him when he last took a bath.

6. Pat him on the head and give him 花 when his plans are foiled yet again

7. Play "knock and run" at his bedchamber door late at night.

8. Ask him why the Dark Mark couldn't look like something 更多 "sociably acceptable".

9. If 你 ever need to say "Like taking 糖果 from a baby", be sure to add: '"Of course, SOME of us might find that harder...

This is an answer to a 问题 发布 由 coolbek. If 你 read it, please feel free to provide constructive criticism. However, please don't post hateful 评论 without backing up your opinion - it just makes 你 look foolish.

These are my reasons as to why people like Harry Potter 更多 than Edward Cullen:

1. Harry has flaws - anger, sometimes arrogance and a few more. These flaws make Harry a character with depth, and also a character that we can relate to. Nobody can be perfect in the real world – our flaws are what make us human. The saying “Perfection…is apt to be dull” explains...

Many Twilighters 爱情 to say how "Edward and Bella 爱情 each other sooooo much!" I'm afraid I have to disagree on this point. Their relationship is pure lust, not love.

Here is my reasoning.

How do Bella and Edward decide they are in love? Well, Bella moves in to Forks. Her first 日 of High School there, she looks across the cafeteria, and she sees a totally gorgeous guy! He catches her attention immediately and she decides right then and there that he is the only man in the town who is good enough for her, despite the fact that she has never spoken to him once in her life. She swats off the...

I read the twilight saga and i loved it i was a twihard for a while yes, but was 更多 fond of the voltori than anything else, When i read Harry Potter and the philosophers stone, i became addicted in its content, i read the 图书 one 由 one and read them again, i like twillight, yes, but there is no doubt i prefar Harry Potter, i also read all the Hunger Games 图书 and was a tribute, still Harry Potter is my life and soul. Jk.rowling has an imagnation unlike many i know, the 图书 depth and detail is unbelivable, i just wish it never had to end, 你 have to read all the 图书 或者 你 wont fully...

I haven't read Midnight Sun so this 文章 is from the 'Bella-point-of-view' books. Edward has been single for over 100 years. While this sounds riddikulus, funny sometimes, it somewhat makes him attractive (Twihards: attractive personality). His 'waiting-for-the-right-person' aura makes him mysterious. I couldn't care if Edward was played 由 Brad Pitt, Robert Pattinson 或者 Dustin Diamond. So for now I am going to set aside the looks, sparkles, stalking, virginity, erections and anything that confirms 或者 contradicts his vampire-ness and dissect his raw personality.

Twilight:
The first thing...

Chapter 1 part 2
The flight took five hours. It was the longest journey Bella had ever traveled and she was happy enough to have both feet on steady ground again. She walked to the luggage 带, 皮带 and grabbed her luggage, succeeding to pull a few other valises with it. Bella’s face turned red and she put her own luggage on the floor and put the valises that weren’t hers back on the belt. Then she lifted her suitcases again and walked outside.
Outside two people were standing with a huge placard saying ‘Welcome home, Bella’ One of them was waving heavily at her and wanted to run into her...
