Daphne and Dean were standing in the woods.
“There. That’s where it happened” Daphne pointed at the lake. “I’m sorry, I’m not going any closer”
“I think we should” Dean 说 insensitive. He grabbed Daphne’s arm again and pulled her to the lake. “Now, tell me what happened”
“He drowned, that’s what happened!” Daphne yelled. “I was supposed to look after him, but I failed”
“That’s the story Zoey told you” Dean said. “Is there someone else who could tell 你 what happened?”
“No, of course not” Daphne 说 irritated. “Unless 你 count Martin, but he’s-”
“-dead?” Dean said. “Why would that change anything?”
“What are 你 talking about?” Daphne asked confused.
“Who’s to say your brother hasn’t been with 你 all this time. Maybe 你 were too upset to see the signs. Why don’t 你 try and call him? If he’s here he’ll let 你 know” Dean said.
“You want me to call my dead brother? That’s ridiculous” Daphne said. Dean cast her an angry glance. “Okay, fine” she gave in. She took a deep breath. “Martin? Are 你 here somewhere?”
An ice cold wind swirled around Daphne and she got 鹅 bumps.
“Hello, Daphne”
Daphne gasped and covered her mouth. Martin was standing in front of her.
“Is it really you?” Daphne asked emotional.
Martin nodded.
“How come you’re…” Daphne wanted to ask, but didn’t know how.
“Normal?” Martin helped. “Dying changed a few things. But I’m still good looking”
Daphne laughed and Dean coughed.
“We need to ask 你 something” he said.
“I know what your 问题 is” Martin said. “It wasn’t an accident. Zoey drugged Daphne and her husband and she pulled me into the lake and drowned me”
Daphne shook her head in disbelief. “No” she said.
“I’m so sorry, Daphne” Martin 说 sad. “I wanted to tell 你 sooner, but I’m stuck to this place and 你 never come here”
Daphne took a few deep breaths and swallowed. She turned to Dean and blinked to fight the upcoming tears. “There’s an old, empty building, here in 城堡 Rock. Zoey and I used to go there when we were teenagers”
She gave him the address.
“Go find Cas” she said.
“You don’t want me to take 你 首页 first?” Dean asked doubtful.
“I know my way” Daphne said. “Go, I need some time with my brother”
And thus Dean called Anna to give him a ride.
