Ariel did the "he loves me, he loves me not" thing with the flower... That's as girly as it can get! She also likes flowers in her hair and dancing. This is girly.

^i think this is typical teenager in love, every princess but Mulan seems love to dance, Ariel rather clumsy, she's not elegant, and elegance is rather girly ! actually i can imagine Ariel being a human kid and playing soccer with the other boys :D
