It seems like the princesses always have male sidekicks. In Sleeping Beauty, which would seem like the exception, the princess isn't really the main character- everyone is, across the board. And the fairies aren't her sidekicks per se, they're really her foster parents.
The rest of the princesses have prominent male sidekicks as their more important sidekicks. Sure, Cinderella has her godmother but she takes a backseat to Jaq and Gus. Sure, Belle has Mrs.Potts but she's hardly as prominent as Cogsworth or Lumiere. and Sure, Pocahontas has Nakoma, but Nakoma takes up trunk space compared to Meeko and Flit. and Look at all the female sidekicks I named, The majority of them are old women. Flora, Fauna, Fairy Godmother, Grandmother Willow, Mrs.Potts....Isn't it time we had a young, lovable female sidekick? How about a villain with a female sidekick? Good or bad, I'd just appreciate more female sidekicks providing us with comic relief! There's not a single villain female sidekick in disney princess movies!

So as we were just discussing, the only female "sidekicks" that I can think of (that speak) are the lady mice in Cinderella and Mrs. Potts. You insist that the three good fairies in Sleeping Beauty are main characters and I'll go with that. I see a sidekick as a secondary character not essential to the main plot and the fairies are indeed essential....at least two of them. Fauna is sorta useless.

Agree! BTW Cinderella has some else female sidekicks, Perla and others.

I don't insist the fairies are main characters. I guess they're supposed to serve as the main characters, but as I mentioned above, you're probably right in that they're all main characters across the board.

Perla is the female mouse in Cinderella.

When on earth do they mention her by the name of Perl?! Is this the one that says, "leave the sewing to the women. You go get some trimmin?"

I just looked it up! Their names were Suzy, Perla, and Mary!

The only young female sidekicks I can think of are Charlotte and Nakoma... And like you said, Nakoma is second to Meeko and Flit, and Charlotte is second to Ray and Louis in terms of being a sidekick. Though, Charlotte does play a rather prominent part in the movie as her own character.
