Because Prince Charming lived the high life but he wants more and doesn't care much for being royal just wants freedom just like Scamp and Cinderella is the poor but beautiful younge girl who lives with a family who's not much of a family but feels she has no choice just like Angel plus I think if Angel was a human she would look just like Cinderella includeing the rags they complete each other

Anyways, Naveen doesn't like the restrictions of high society, and Tiana wants more than what she has. They both also have attitudes and weren't meaning to fall in love, just like Scamp and Angel.

To me, it's more Aladdin/Jasmine, but with Aladdin being rich and Jasmine being poor.

This is the DISNEY princess site, so we're not talking about original fairy tales. If we were, Cinderella's stepsisters would've cut off their toes to fit the slipper, Belle would have two sisters, Jasmine would have a name that nobody could pronounce, and Ariel would've DIED.
