The only time we see the Disney Princess having both parents, they were never even in the child's life, and the Step-mother(/parent)she is always evil! So, I'm going with the single Father.

Yea-the only healthy family was Mulan's. Even so, the two princesses with both parents were dramatically seperated from them somehow, with the parents being terribly worried about their daughter's life. (Aurora had to be given away...Mulan ran away to war.)
