Like I said these ratings are way more agreeable. I just voted for this because I don't think it deserves to outrank Mulan and Tangled.

Also I'd rate Frozen significantly lower.

I'd also rate the three classics A LITTLE BIT higher but then again I liked them better than the average fan.

But I'm also not happy that nearly everything that is not Beauty and the Beast is in the 85% or lower range. Why?

I would give this higher score. I think Pocahontas deserves the 60s score as the main problem of that movie is how it is historically inaccurate, which bothers some people much.

I don't think Disney movies need to be historically accurate. And I think that Pocahontas is way more beautiful and powerful movie than TLM.
Anastasia has 80th score. It's very disgusting, inexcusable racism and hypocrisy. Americans are first class people whose history should be sacralized, while Russians are just savages who are less deserving of accurate representation. Totally unforgivable and disgusting. Not Anastasia but people who think that accurate representation of American history is more important that accurate representation of Russian one.

this is so overrated

..how does Pocahontas get a pass despite it's racism, desecration of history, and sexualization of its lead, but Anastasia gets criticized? that makes NO sense to me

@Adelital I think it's more the issue that Anastasia is about white characters and Pocahontas has Native Americans. I like said in my Moana review, for whatever reason, people are way less up in arms when a story depicting only European (aka white) culture and history is inaccurate or inauthentic.

@princesslullaby Yes, Pocahontas is guilty of things ( I'm on the fence about the racism part) but that doesn't mean Anastasia should get a pass for rewriting history either. People are able to separate fact from fiction and just enjoy the movie when it comes to Anastasia. Why aren't people allowed to do with the same with Pocahontas?

Why so low ? Granted it can be a bit boring at times but it's a good movie !

One of my all time favorites. Historically inaccurate as it may be, I don't see how it's offensive so long as it stays in the fiction section. Just think of it has happening to have the same names as the historical figures rather than connecting it directly to history, considering that Pocahontas wasn't even her real name and could honestly be the name of any member of the Powhatan tribe, as is John Smith's common ass name.

These scores are somewhat more agreeable, but I actually would like Moana to be higher, Beauty and the Beast to be lower.
Then Tangled a little higher like 90% and The Little Mermaid slightly lower like 82%
