Tbh I don't find this couple very special. Their first meeting is so cliche (a guy who falling love at the first sight with a girl). They only have a few interaction.

They're boring

What interactions do these two even have with each other? Leah doesn't even have a character and is just arm candy.

Both of them are annoying. Yao is vulnerable and has an enormous ego. He is a flawed person but instead of improving himself he just wants a person won't notice his flaws and treat him as a god. Mei is selfish and I imagine her being Khal Drogo's fangirl( I don't like his fanbase, to be honest).
