Here are some comments, just to get things started:

Eric- Time and time again, the wise-cracking egotistical pretty boy is the hero of many animated films, Disney and non-Disney alike, so Eric is refreshing not so much because he is kind and more classic, but because of his humility. He is so understanding and non-judgmental, agreeing to help Ariel immediately at meeting her and showing real sympathy for her, something rarely seen in animated heroes (not because they are unsympathetic to others, but because they are not given the agency to show that). Eric also falls for Ariel, who by all accounts, is acting like a complete wacko, so it's kinda nice to see this normal, sweet, humble, hardworking guy fall for the girl who acts nervous, silly, wild, and unconventional. He's so laidback and kind. I love him.

Beast- One of Disney's most well-written characters, I adore him, he's just not someone I would personally fall for which is why he is #5 and not higher.

John Smith Kind of terrible to have him in my top 3 since he is a total racist insult to the real history, but taking him as a character by himself, he always reminded me of Jim from the Office. I feel like at any moment he will look into the camera with a face that says "what the fuck is going on here." I don't know, he always had that sense of humor to me. He just seems to have a really realistic personality. Good subtle sense of humor.

Aladdin- A LYING TRASH BAG!!!!!

Shang/- Dedicated, loyal, kind, secretly dorky, generous, self-sacrificial.

Naveen- He's a spoiled, pampered, useless rich boy, and actually this sets him apart from the other princes. He's not a swashbuckling hero running in to save the day. He really can't do that AND he acknowledges it. Plus "life is short, when you're done you're done, we're on this earth to have some fun, and that's the way things are..." I wish I could be this carefree!!

Flynn- There's nothing inherently wrong with him and I think he may be the bravest prince...I just feel like we don't really know him and he has a very character personality. Like very hammy and scripted. Doesn't act like a real person.

Hahaha I see lots of people hating how he looks when he turns human.
I'll try to think of some more opinions...

Philip - He's perfect as the archetypal hero. I love how classic he is, rescuing the maiden from a dragon with a horse and sword, and help from magical fairies. Without making it cheesy or too "manufactured"... it's natural. And his romance with Aurora is so dreamy I love it!

I have the same feelings quishy11 has. I prefer Adam in his human form. I think he's a hunk. Seeing how much he was willing to change to earn Belle's heart. Very sweet.
I like John Smith because his mind was changed as well. Pocahontas helped him open his eyes and see more than his men had planned.
Naveen changed as well. Thanks to Tiana.
I love the princes who changed for the better.

JungleQueen13 picked Absolutely:
John Smith: I love that he is adventurous, and completely at ease with going off on his own in a new land, even when the other settlers don't want him to go wandering off. It indicates that he is really there for his own experience rather than to serve the King. I also find his character to be incredibly soothing: he is always so relaxed and manages to keep good humour even in stressful situations. He's a rebel, but in a very likeable way.

Eric: As soon as I saw him go back on the burning ship to save Max I knew he was made of good stuff. An incredibly gentle and caring guy, who is also humble and brave. The way he looks after Ariel when he first finds her is so sweet.

Flynn: On the surface he comes across as a bit of a shallow jerk, but even so I still find him to be very amusing and engaging. And then we discover that below the facade he is in fact very caring, and incredibly brave. His self-sacrifice for Rapunzel's freedom might just be the most touching thing I have seen a Disney character do.

Prince: There is no depth to his character, yet I find his gentle, sweet approach with Snow White and his devotion to finding her very endearing. Certainly a unique male character, as I don't think we will ever see another like him again.

Shang - he is my least favorite. I find him pretty annoying. I hate how jerkish he was to Mulan when she arrived to the city. I also really dislike how he demeans his recruits in his song. It even somewhat reminded me of Mother Gothel( I don't deny that Shang that he is brave and patriotic, it's undebiable). It's not constructive critisism.

Beast - I don't like how cruel he is at the beggining. As a child, I even was somewhat scared by him. I am pretty vegneful person so I don't think I would be capable to forgive him.

Eric - I am generally indifferent towards him because he doesn't have much personality. But I really how artistic and romantic he is. I have a thing for guys with artistic hobbies.

Alladin - his attitude towards children is very touchy. But I don't like how treats Jasmine. You need to be the most horrible judge of character in the world to suppose that Jamine is an elitistic snob. I really dislike that Alladin doesn't care about how open-minded Jasmine is and still wants to win her heart.

John Smith - he didn't influence me to love Pocahontas but vice versa. But to me he represents one of my most valued traits of a good husband: the respect and care of in-laws. I also love how friendly and gentle he is to Percy.

Naveen - he is very handsome and artistic. But I don't think that I would like to have a boyfriend like him because he is a womanizer.

Flynn - I admit that he is not the best role model and I don't like this whole "she changed him to better with her love" thing. But he is still my favorite prince. His romance with Rapunzel is my favorite. I also love his famous line about brunettes. I think it proofs that he is very tactful person with a good sense of humour. I completely agree with JungleQueen13: "His self-sacrifice for Rapunzel's freedom might just be the most touching thing I have seen a Disney character do." And he is the most handsome prince, he has the eyes of angel.

I'll be short. Sorry, I've never been much of analyst.

Alladin: he is by far my favorite Disney Prince. He was my childhood crush! His adventurous, playful and witty personality is so adorable! I always loved this line: "Look at that Abu, it's not everyday you see a horse with two rear ends." He is a type of guys I'm usually attracted to.

Naveen: I like his ability to have fun, I'd like to spend time with him,

Beast: he is my least favorite because he reminds of my ex-boyfriend,

Florian: A precious bean who deserves love and protection. He may not have much of a personality, but he spends an entire year searching for a girl he only met once, unlike a certain someone I can think of... *coughCharmingcough*

Henry: He probably gets more flack than he deserves, but that doesn't make me love him. He's bland, and can't be bothered to search for Cindy himself. I could care less about the eye-rolling though, which some people seem to get stuck on.

Phillip: A classic fairytale prince with just a sprinkling of misogyny. He was seriously creeping on Aurora in the forest, and he didn't let her leave when she was clearly uncomfortable with the situation. But then he fights a dragon for her, so he mostly makes up for it.

Eric: Also a precious bean who deserves love and protection. SERIOUSLY GUYS HE JUMPS ONTO A BURNING SHIP TO SAVE HIS DOG HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE THIS BOY? Sadly, he's not the brightest bulb on the tree. *sigh* He was so close to perfection...

Adam: An extremely well-written character who learns to overcome his emotional problems. He gets a lot of criticism, and some of it is deserved, but I also think some of it is a little too harsh considering his circumstances.

Aladdin: Gotta agree with princesslullaby on this one. HE IS A LYING TRASH BAG. Never understood the appeal.

John Smith: Racist pos. At least he learns to be better... but I still hate him.

Li Shang: The epitome of perfection and my future husband. Move over, Mulan. He's sensitive but strong, awkward but dutiful, and he WORKS SO HARD TO BE THE BEST HE CAN BE. <3

Naveen: A sleezy womanizer who doesn't give a shit about other people's feelings. Ugh. #TianaDeservesBetter

Eugene Fitzherbert: He's so brave and he cares so much about Punz! He's even willing to die for her! And he grows so much as a person! *sniffles*

Never thought of it that way but I agree with you on Flynn. He really annoys me- smarmy, rude and condescending to Rapunzel knowing she's too naive to see it, led her to a dangerous bar on purpose, completely got away with all his crimes because... movie, and just embodies the "snarky cocky Playboy" thing that's so common now that I can't stand. And when you realize that's just an act, there's not much personality in Eugene, so... Who is he?

Also, I love Naveen and think many fans condemn things about him that they ignore or excuse in Flynn because of the ~tragic back story vs Naveen's spoiled upbringing.

And I love Snow's prince. He's adorable from what we see of him and I don't think he lacks a personality at all. I also love a man who's not afraid to show emotion.

@princesslullaby she only lives with the dwarfs for a couple days, but after she falls asleep the narrator says it's a year before the Prince finally finds her.

@AudreyFreak pretty much agree with you about Eugene and Naveen, but what can I say? I'm a sucker for a tragic backstory XD
