Let me explain about this whole "fat" thing. First of all, I wouldn't really call her fat, since she's just fuller than actually fat. I called this version fat because in the TV series her one personality trait to make her stand out from her sisters is just that she likes to eat, which is a cliche they use for fat characters. Had they used this design for Ariel's Beginning, you know they'd likely do that and if they kept her boy crazy that they'd play it as laughs making her seem not as attractive as her sisters that boys avoid. I'm not sure what to decide, I mean she wasn't heavy in the original movie, but there are some that prefer her design being heavier because they thought it was nice to see a princess from Disney (even if minor) that wasn't skinny. And yes, I did recolor a background mermaid that had Adella's TV series design.

Personally I think it's nice to get a character that is over weight, that isn't butt ugly.

I think mermaids would look more like this if they're swimming around all day, personally.

Technically, they'd be muscular from all that swimming and not just thin.
