As a kid I never really paired attention to this I just like the show and the character so it didn't influence me to have 'unrealistic body expectations' because of that. So in that light it doesn't bother me. I also think the message it's trying is that when you're a good person on the inside you're always pretty on the outside.
Yes, it seems that no matter what, if you're female, you have to be pretty (and this isn't just Disney, this is nearly all mainstream media). There are hardly any average looking lead girls in media and the message that "beauty comes from the inside" is disingenuous when all of your characters are prized for their beauty or have their beauty commented upon (Snow White, Aurora, Jasmine, Belle, etc). This "moral" also sends mixed messages to young girls who are over saturated with products and advertisements saying that they can look prettier but that it ultimately shouldn't matter since true beauty comes from "within." Sorry, but the world does not work that way, people judge each other all the time about their appearances and women get the brunt of it. You can't even be a successful politician without having your looks be commented upon (ex. Hillary Clinton). I say we get rid of the toxic "beauty comes from within" and just say to all kids that you should love yourself and take pride in how you look.
It doesn't bother me because beauty in in the eyes of the beholder. The princesses are the heroines of the story, and therefore the character we are supposed to identify with, so it wouldn't really matter how they look, we would like them (just like a lot of people consider Quasimodo "cute", and prefer the Beast over Adam's true appearance). The counterpart are the female villains who, no matter how beautiful they are drawn, are always somewhat ugly, even if it is only because of a permanent frown.
I might be bothered by it if all the princesses were the same type, like a bunch of barbies. But they all are differently built (from flat chested to very female, from small and slightly stocky to big and elegant), and beautiful for very different reasons.
