There's a deleted scene where she actually is manipulative. Grumpy wants to kick her out and she's all "Fine, I'll go" with her nose in the air but then she says dramatically "In the dark woods!" This makes the other dwarfs worry for her and try to convince Grumpy to let her stay. This works so Snow White stays. Maybe they cut this out because Snow White came off as too manipulative?
In that deleted scene, she seemed very hysterical to me, as if she was genuinely scared as opposed to trying to trick the dwarfs, and there's a difference between being charming anf being manipulative, and Snow is very charming. Manipulative people are good at seeing when others are being manipulative; they pick up on the little tricks, and Snow is very easily manipulated.
She wasn't hysterical or genuinely scared. @_@ She said "I'm not afraid...of the dark woods at night. And the goblins". She's emphasizes for Grumpy to hear but she wasn't shaken up at all. If she was scared anywhere in that scene, it was when she realized that her soup was still cooking.
In this scene, was Snow White honestly scared or was she trying to make Grumpy feel guilty? You can see how she is playing around the moment she says "I'll go". And look at her go back to being Little Miss Sweet and closes the door when they let her stay.
