Frozen might now get the praise, but I am ready to bet that Tangled will be the one which withstands time and will be considered a true Disney classic at one point.
I am 100% with Swanpride. I can also give about a million reasons why I think Tangled was better, but I will just give one now: Tangled had a MUCH better plot. Frozen's plot was FULL of plot holes, lots of it didn't even make any sense if you want to get specific, and overall was just badly put together and rushed. Frozen isn't even on the same level as Tangled, and in a bad way.
I actually think Tangled is the more superior movie based on objectivity - the plot execution is far superior and overall I think it's put together better, but based on personal preference I like Frozen more. I found it more enjoyable for the most part and I much prefer the characters.
I agree with viktoriya773 on the Dreamworks bashing; while admittedly a portion of their movies do rely heavily on pop culture humour, they have still made great movies that are on par with most Disney movies and better than some IMO - Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, The Prince of Egypt, How to Train Your Dragon, Road to El Dorado. All/most animation studios have their fair share of good and bad movies; the Dreamworks movies I listed are clearly superior to the likes of Disney's Home on the Range, Chicken Little, etc.
Tangled was very magical. I loved the animation, plot, characters and it had the magic of Disney. But Frozen was just amazing! Everything about it was amazing! The animation was beautiful, the characters were really interesting, the songs were very powerful and I loved the plot twists. So yes, it doesn't have Disney magic like Tangled, but it's still a much better movie.
Tangled <3 I am biased for my love of the story about a lost princess. And it was paced better. I'll admit that the songs from Frozen were a little better.
The songs in Tangled might be not as memorable, but they are way better used, and none of them are really bad, while Frozen has "Fixer-Upper", the only Disney song ever which made me wish that the character would just shut up!
My favorite movie as a 9-year-old was Tangled. I still love the movie itself.
I like Frozen, too, but I think it's overrated.
IDK, this is confusing for me. I personally think both movies are good.
Frozen, because I caught the message that family love is the most powerful thing ever.
Tangled, don't recall why. But, sure, I was obsessed with it, lol. I think it was because it involved being free from something keeping you away from reality, and romance.
Another reason I like Frozen is that it's so icy and the songs. I prefer Vuelie over Let It Go.
5. Frozen
7. Tangled
Tangled only had a better villain.
They make awesome movies!
Shrek, Madagascar, Ice Age...
Why all the hate? All studios have something special.
