SweetPea2007 picked Tiana:
She is a hard worker and is all about living up to your full potential and not letting anything get in your way. I also like how she is very practical and logical and that her main goal in life was not finding a mate, but in bettering herself. She is also very intelligent and strong willed....my next choice would have been Mulan and then Rapunzel.

sumerjoy11 picked Tiana:
Tiana doesn't gush over finding true love like most of the other princesses do. She focuses on getting her dream to come true and works hard to make it happen. She also doesn't let anything stop her from accomplishing her dream. I admire that about her. :)

cinderella is the most admirable of all of them she suffered the most and work really hard. she's had been beaten many times and also mentally. she fight for her true love not because she wanted to be rich but because she wanted to be happy. she never lost her hope

Not for the whole women are just as good as men bit but something a little more deep. Mulan and all her failure at being what China considered her duty never she didn't like it but it was just hard. When the Chinese Armies were deploying soldiers she didn't put herself out there becuase she wanted to prove herself as a woman or "find her way". She did it for her father, she is one of the most self-less people in all of DP. She risked getting caught killed and getting disowned by her family to protect them. Now once she was in abandoned by her troop she now figured that she had to push for not just her family but China

I think people associate Mulan as this women overcoming a man's world. I think thats kinda silly, though she did it wasn't the motivation. Mulan can show little girls that its not always about how you feel about something but there is great admiration for doing things for others. Like Pocahontas also she did things for others not just herself.

Pocahontas,Belle and Mulan are also good role models but ariel is the one they could most identify with. It means if you really want something you can reach it no matter how far it is. She was also my role model when I was a little girl;)

LightningRed picked Snow White:
She is hardworking and hardly complains. She is always cheerful & hopeful and and thinks the bright side of everything. A real good model for little girls. The only thing bad side from her is that she is allowing a granny stranger and eat the apple from her. Cinderella has a life almost similar to Snow White's (becoming a servant), but Cinderella is grumpier, a sour-grape, and almost loses her hopes before she meets Fairy Godmother.

Belle is also a nice model, but she naughtily gets into the Beast's bedroom when he's told her not to and she runs away, forgetting her own promise. Tiana is also nice because she is diligent and loves her family, but she is willing to trade her kiss for money? Yuck.....

she doesn't just let things happen (to her), she takes her life into her own hands and makes her own decisions. Very, very positive role model.

Honestly I think all those girls can be good role models in some way, but my choices would be Cinderella, Rapunzel and Mulan, because their stories are more relatable and can be used as an example of how to act when dealing with those kinds of circumstances they were put in and still not lose yourself and keep your spirit up. Cinderella had a very hard life and was both mentally and physically wasted because of her emotionally abusive so-called family yet she still remained a kind and caring person. She followed her dreams without stepping over anyone or bringing anyone down, she wasn't raised with loving parents or loving family but still managed to build up her own personality and was a decent and likeable human being no matter how much she had to suffer.

Swanpride picked 花木兰:
Mulan puts first what has to be first: Her family. She doesn't rebell just to rebell, but because she has to.
Also Belle, for similiar reasons. She doesn't allow any man to abuse her, not Gaston, not the Beast, and she does what she has to do to rescue her father.
And Rapunzel for facing her fears, and following her dream, but doing it on HER terms, and first trying to do it with the approval of her "mother".
With Ariel, Jasmine and Pocahontas, I have the same "problem": They al "want moooore" , but they don't really consider the consequences of their actions, and at the end of the day, other people have to pay the price for them. With Ariel, it's Triton, with Jasmine, it's the whole kingdom (I really don't know how many diplomatic ties she cut with her behaviour), with Pocahontas it's Kocoum and John Smith.
The classic Princesses are all good role models in terms of positive character traits, but they mostly react to their situations, which is mostly understandable, but has its own pitfalls.
And Tiana would be a good role model, if she were better written.

i cant decide, but belle and ariel would never be in my top three o.o if you think about - ariel makes a deal with the evil sea witch and abandons everyone without leaving a message or so behind, poor family... belle - teaches girls to hide under a book and dream about a better live, without doing something.. if belles father wouldnt be helt prisonor in the beasts castle, she would never have done anything, to go and actually living her dream, which she also doesnt in the end! she dreamed about adventure and the big world outside, yet she stays as a princess with her lover and keeps on reading.....

also, both would be dead, if they didnt got help! belle would have been eaten by the wolfes, if beast didnt cool down his temper and go after her ( after she breaks a simple rule +cough+) and arieln would have drowned if flounder and sebastions didnt come after her as well XD

cinderella also wouldnt hit my top 5, she just takes every bullying she can get, without doing something, she couls always find another serving job for other people and might even got a little pay for it...

mulan and poca would be my best rolemodels^^

The classic princesses teach you to be classy, don't be a disobedient little brat (like, ahem, a lot of the newer ones...), stay positive despite whatever your situation is like, be emotionally strong, and be selfless.

They're the best role models, easily.

You have to love when people call Cinderella bad for "taking" abuse. Hahaha what? I guess Belle took abuse too, Jasmine accepted deceit, Rapunzel DEFINITELY took abuse, Tiana took abuse from those realty guys, etc. Great logic... although I do like the point about Belle, just hiding behind a book.
