 What's a 迪士尼 Princess?
What's a Disney Princess?
What makes a 迪士尼 Princess?

There are several points that make a 迪士尼 female character a 迪士尼 Princess;
She must be produced 由 hand drawing, she must sing at least once in her movie (in solo 或者 duet) and she must either be born to royalty 或者 marry into royalty 或者 in some cases, both.

The OTPs

Princess Snow White, Princess Aurora, Princess Ariel and Princess 灰姑娘 were all painfully hand drawn 由 the 迪士尼 artists and were animated to have at least one song meeting the technical side of their requirements. Princess Snow White, Princess Aurora, Princess Ariel were born to royalty and marry into royalty while 灰姑娘 only married into royalty meeting the characteristic requirements.
This makes them the Original True Princess.

The CTPs

However the story is far from over as there are other princesses; such as Belle and Jasmine.
Belle was the first Princess who wasn’t just hand drawn, she was also made using a Computer 动画片 Production System 或者 CAPS, developed 由 皮克斯 for Disney. 锦标 allowed the artists to combine their hand drawn art with computer generated art, which made it a lot easier to do wonderful artistic scene like the famous ‘Tale as old as time’ waltz. This wonderful scene was made so beautiful 由 锦标 ability to create a computer-generated ballroom, put in the hand drawn dancers and make the camera mover around in any way they want. This process made the waltz almost seem real!
So in some ways Belle was hand drawn but was animated as a computer image… but she is still a Princess as she married Beast 或者 Prince Adam as his name was released to be. So Belle is a Computerised True Princess.
The 下一个 princess under inspection is 茉莉, 茉莉花 from Aladdin, the only princess who is not related in some way to her film’s title. She is rather simple to understand; like Belle, 茉莉, 茉莉花 was made using 锦标 and hand drawings, sings a duet with 阿拉丁 and she is a Sultan’s daughter, which in Arabia, the setting, is equivalent to a king in 欧洲 so his daughter is a Princess; a Computerised True Princess.
The last princess who could be called a Computerised True Princess is Tiana the youngest and newest princess. She might be set in a modern world, a new for a 迪士尼 Princess, but she is hand drawn with CAPS, sings and does marry a prince, prince Naveen. I will admit at first, I did not believe that this character could be called a 迪士尼 princess but after seeing the movie, I changed my mind and now happily call her a princess.

The CPs

Then we come to the difficult ones; Pocahontas and Mulan.
Both made with 锦标 and Hand drawings, both do sing solos 或者 duets but the problem with calling them 迪士尼 princesses is… they are not princesses!
Neither marry princes, 或者 even fall in 爱情 princes and neither are daughters of kings and queens.
It is possible to argue Pocahontas’s claim to royalty, her father is the chief = leader for a tribe so on a long shot, she is a princess but in my personal opinion, as she does not marry a prince, does not have a determined royal mother 或者 father, she is not a princess.
Mulan… she has no claim what so ever to Princess-hood. She isn’t born to a king, just a normal solider who became a farmer after the war and his wife. She doesn’t marry a prince but a general in her 秒 movie. She has no claim at all to be a princess.
But 迪士尼 still calls them princess but I class them as Computerised Princess (not True Princess as… well they aren’t princesses.)

The questionable ones

There are some 'unofficial' 迪士尼 princesses who meet some of the requirements; Alice from Alice in Wonderland, Tinker 钟, 贝尔 from Peter Pan series and Giselle from Disney’s 着魔 cartoon. However; Alice sings, is hand drawn but isn’t born to royalty and she doesn’t even meet someone to call a prince; that is one factor that makes 花木兰 a possible princess, she has Shang.
小叮当 doesn’t need to be classed as a princess anymore; she has her own category, the 迪士尼 精灵 after the release and success of a prequel called ‘Tinkerbell’.
For part of her movie, Giselle is animated but then becomes live action………… Even 迪士尼 don’t count her as a princess.

The Future

So what of the future?
Tangled… Rapunzel. She sings, she is born to be a princess, she is…… COMPUTER ANIMATED. 100% computer animated. 2 factors out of 3 but the missing factor is the most important factor… can we call a princess who’s only spark is that of a computer? Snow White, Aurora, Ariel, Cinderella, Belle, Jasmine, Tiana, Pocahontas and 花木兰 all have a heart. They were worked on for months to make sure each individual cell was perfect and detailed… they may have been animated 由 a computer but they were 给 life 由 hand.
Does Rapunzel have that heart?

The joy

In the end, no matter what I say, the only things that matters is what 你 believe and what 你 think in your 心 makes a princess.

That is the joy of Disney.
The Original True Princess, Computerised True Princess and a Computerised Princess.
The Original True Princess, Computerised True Princess and a Computerised Princess.
Please note that this is a countdown where we users make a lot of assumptions and don't provide proof of anything. This is for the amusement so please don't kill the fun :)

11. Prince
The Prince from Snow White comes in last place, can't say I'm stunned. At that time, 迪士尼 animators haven't mastered drawing male characters yet so I'm guessing what's underneath isn't HD quality either. He's also quite feminine looking, petite frame with soft edges. No worries though, Snow White loves his man for his huuuuuuuge 心 :)

10. Charming
Nope, still not quite there with drawing men. Charming...

One of my 最喜爱的 songs of all time.
One of my favorite songs of all time.
Disney's 《冰雪奇缘》 is receiving rave reviews, and the song"Let It Go"is one of the highlights of the film.Don't take my word for it-Wikipedia,as usual is great for such simple backround facts.I have decided that Elsa is my 最喜爱的 迪士尼 character, but I'm having internal 辩论 whether"Let It Go"is my 最喜爱的 迪士尼 song-time will tell, but I'm leaning towards"yes".On my 谷歌 搜索 history, there are queries such as "Let It Go is brilliant" and "Frozen Let It Go analysis",but having found nothing satisfactory,I've decided to write this post instead.
There has been much written about Let It...

I've never done this before. And as a new user, I'm pretty sure that I'm dipping into a kind of no-man's land, here.

I primarily judge 迪士尼 princesses not 由 their looks 或者 anything, but 由 their character, and 由 their plot-lines. Some of the 迪士尼 princesses are less developed than others, in my opinion, and that might be partially due to the story/plot-line itself ( as most of 迪士尼 is adaptation-based).

Some of the characteristics of each princess I find admirable, while other traits I just find...for lack of a better term...irritating. Yeah.

I'm going to rate the 迪士尼 princesses...

One of the best things about 迪士尼 princess films are their princesses(obviously) and songs. As a singer, 音乐 lover, and actor, I've always paid close attention to the voices that bring these wonderful characters and songs to life. I am picky about the voices I like but can admit that no princess has a bad voice, some are just much better than others. Share your opinions.
13. Snow White
Let me begin 由 saying that I'm ranking both 唱歌 and speaking voices and that even though she's at the bottom, I don't hate Snow White's voice. Let's be honest here, most people find her voice to be annoying....
