Hi guys, I managed to see the 2017 reboot of Beauty and the Beast despite the initial boycott over the alleged gay moment for the Malaysian release, as I promise here is my review on the awesome classic!

The Story-Line

While the majority of the film is the same, I was very happy with a number of changes. Like we get to know 更多 about Belle's and the Beast/ Prince Adam's backstory. To which I will write 更多 about in another 文章 soon. Speaking of the Enchantress, I always thought that it is the Fairy Godmother from Cinderella!
The Prologue gives 更多 details than the 1991 version, which we never understood since then. But, thank goodness for that!
I was also happy that Lefou became so disillusion with Gaston as the story progresses, ultimately swapping sides.

The Songs & Musical Scores

Many of the songs that we hear in the film, are very familiar from both the 1991 film and the Broadway version. Especially during the scene where Belle gets to see her room in the 城堡 for the first time, they play an instrumental version of 首页 from the Broadway version of the animated feature!
3 new songs are feature in this film, and I immediately fell in 爱情 with them. Like Lily James, I was really amazed that her Downton Abbey costar Dan Stevens could really sing, including Emma Watson despite that there were allegations on auto-tunes. If it was, Emma would not have taken exclusive 唱歌 lessons with Paige O Hara, the actress who provided the voice for Emma's animated counterpart.
If 你 ask me, I absolutely adore Celine Dion and I was happy that she was asked to come back to sing a brand new song. In fact, everybody in the cinema hall including myself sang the famous 标题 song!

The Characters

I was very happy that the beast has 更多 character development, he also had a very similar experience with Belle because both never saw their mother ever again during their childhood. He also helps Belle to know 更多 about the reason why Maurice did not want to tell Belle about what happen to her, sadly she passed on during the plague!
Prince Adam's father was very bad man, according to Mrs Potts. At that point, I feel bad for him, but one thing I was very happy that he has 更多 interaction with Belle in this version.
