I don't know about his mom, but apparently Eric's dad IS dead! It says it in this clip from The Little Mermaid on Broadway. Skip to 1:50 and only keep going until 2:00, 或者 else it'll be ruined for 你 because that's the ending.

And here I thought Eric's dad just didn't 显示 up in the movie.

But there isnt anything at this point I dont know about " The Little Mermaid" - I can even tell 你 that the storyline of Ursula being her Aunt used in the Play was considered for the movie as well but Ron and John threw it out and decided to let the audience decide if Triton and Ursula are Brother and Sister 或者 just rivals.

Yeah, I knew about how the play stroyline was considered for the real one. And i know it was hinted at in the movie, but this comfirmed it (I try not to assume things when it comes to Disney).

Yeah can never tell.- I mean I think when I was little I thought when Bambis mom 说 his dad is " The Great Prince" it was only implied, but we see a brief shot of him in the movie.
