Actually one of my favourite couple never kissed yet it was clear they love each other... a kiss is physical, that doesn´t make me ship a couple. Overal I think kissing is overrated. That is what I hate about Stelena- the writers think they show the love between them through making them kiss and hug the whole time. But where is the supposed love that I just don´t see with these two.

Anyway, remember the old movies or tv shows, when the only time a romantic pairing kissed (if there was one) was after they were married or after some long, length of time? I think these people think love is "feeling in love". Wrong, that is the beginning stage. That's infatuation, not love! Wait until you have arguments and don't want to kiss or get physical. Does that mean you don't love each other anymore? (prime example: Celebrity divorces) The physical part will subside in intensity after awhile. But by that point, if they truly love each other, they do not need it to know they are loved or love that person. One look can express a thousand words or kisses. That is what happens with Delena, so much more profound. It's in their souls, expressed through their eyes.

The ultimate act of love (risking your life, or dying to save that person(s) Damon does on a regular basis for Elena. One of the purest acts of love was shown by Damon in Rose. He loved her soooo much, but gave her up essentially, so she can be with the one he thought she deserved the most and would make her happy.

Utter selflessness, complete love. Delena's love is on a much higher level.

Oh excuse me but, the same can't be said for Stefan??! Who was the one who obsessively stalked Elena for ages? Who kept Katherine's picture for decades? At least Damon didn't instantly fall in love with her like Stefan did, he only saw Elena as a friend in the beginning before he began to develop feelings for her. When Stefan told Elena in "Brave New World" that he came to Mystic Falls to start a life with her, that kinda clinched it for me. Yeah, because she looked like Katherine you tool! He could have wanted to start anew with anyone but no, he chose to get to know and fall in love with Elena. Like Katherine said to Stefan, "You came back here to fall in love with me all over again, didn't you?" No disrespect Stefan 'cos I do love you, but really? You're not fooling anyone! :P

This one pisses me off the most an it makes no sense. How are they forced and rushed when they are just getting to admitting how they feel for each other, when Stefan and Elena got together in the second episode of the first season! They barely knew each other and they all of sudden had this 'epic love'. Im sorry but thats total bull especially when the thought of Stefan being with Elena because she looks like Katherine arises. I feel that Stefan and Elena are rushed. They have all these problem because they didnt take the time to kno each other (Ex. Stefan has blood lust and Elena is stubborn) now they fight about that or pretty much say they dnt like or accept it. With Damon and Elena they know things about each other because there getting to know each other nd Elena sees that Damon is worth being reedeamble because he she understand what he does and why he does it but can accept the way he is because he accepts himself.

They are all very stupid! I think the worst are this one, Elena being a whore for kissing Damon, Elena being the shadow of herself with Damon and Elena making Damon whiny.

And Delena being rushed, forced and being an obstacle for Stelena is so ridiculous it's not even funny. So is the "they haven't even kissed yet" one.

Actually all reasons are ridiculous.. Stefan is the who used Elena as an replacement for Katherine. Stefan is the abusive n aggressive towards Elena whe he used her to get revenge on Klaus and when he found out she is in love with Damon. Stelena was the rushed story, kissing in the second episode, based on lies and hidden truths n identites. Elena doesnt accept Stefan for who he is because (a.) she fell in love with the good boy side he pretended to be.. and she needed someone safe n who wouldn't die because she lost so many of her loved ones. Elena was this vibrant, charismatic adventurous girl who wanted passion n danger but Matt didnt represent those things, she broke up with him n then around Stefan she only became a shadow of herself which he was in love with. When she became an alive, happy person after turning into a vampire Stefan wanted to change her. He said it himself "she isnt suppose to be this way" (4x05) well guess what Stefan, she isnt suppose to be anything but herself but u obviously have a problem with that since she;s not the damsel in distress doll u were in love with.
And last, Delena isnt the obstacle to Stelena's story.. rather its the complete opposite. STELENA WAS THE OBSTACLE TO DELENA'S LOVESTORY. IT WAS ONLY A BACKGROUND STORY TO WRITE AND DEVELOP DELENA SLOWLY N STEADILY. BUILDING EVERYTHING IN DELENA, PERFECTLY. IT WAS JUST A CATALYST IN DELENA'S LOVE STORY. DELENA IS THE REAL LOVESTORY OF THE SHOW.
