1. They took the episode and moment we'd all been eagerly anticipating since S1, and ruined it 由 interweaving DE's 爱情 scene with Caroline's shrill ramblings about the sire bond. It should have been perfect, and after waiting so long, I strongly believe that 粉丝 should have been 给 Delena's first 爱情 scene uninterrupted, and without the sire bond business looming over their heads like a ticking time bomb that was about to go off and kill everybody on the spot. It took all the shine out of a special moment. I understand that the writers did it to shock us, but I really don't hold Julie and the rest of the producers in high esteem for 展示 us, the fans, so little respect. We waited for 4 years for this 爱情 scene, and for what? To be scared into thinking that Elena was only sleeping with Damon out of some superficial,hocus pocus bond? It's taken me a long time to admit it, but I hate that they did that. There's no reason why we couldn't have found out about the sire bond in 4x08, 或者 in a later episode. Why did they have to take Delena's long-awaited 爱情 scene and try to manipulate us into thinking that it was something it wasn't? Do 你 know how much grief we've had to endure from SE 粉丝 because of that? To them, this was yet another reason why DE could not, and would not work out. Some truly malicious SE 粉丝 have even gone so far as to argue that the 爱情 scene in 4x07 was the equivalent of drug rape, because Elena was 'influenced' and was not capable of giving her consent. I know that argument is ridiculous, but if the writers and producers hadn't written the 爱情 scene that way, then vindictive, spiteful 粉丝 wouldn't be able to see it like that.
2. They made Elena say 'I 爱情 you' to Damon over the phone - and they've never had a proper conversation about it since.
I would rather she'd 说 it face-to-face with him, but when Damon 说 'Come to me', I was hopeful that they would have a moment together when they could discuss it fully. But as it stands, she 说 "I 爱情 you" to Damon FINALLY, and then...nothing. Um, what? Am I missing something? Elena 说 I 爱情 你 to Damon! Only...oh right. She's still sired. Apparently, that means that all party arrangements are on hold.
It's like the producers/writers have taken what should have been incredible moments for DE, and then done nothing with them.
3. They keep road-blocking DE every step of the way.
Some people might argue that this is a good sign. Some might say that it's the little things that make DE worth watching, rather than them BEING a couple. But I think the time for the little glances and touches etc has passed. We know how they feel now, so why can't they just be together? I'm fed-up of the writers giving DE 更多 and 更多 obstacles when the only purpose of them is to prevent Delena from getting together. It was understandable in earlier seasons, but I expect 更多 now that SE are broken up and Stefan is no longer keeping them apart. I think this fandom deserves 更多 than watching their ship continually going round and round in circles. I want the producers to 显示 us they're serious about Delena becoming a reality. I want them to put their money where their mouth is and step up to the plate. Yes, I know they've 说 it's a series-long 三角形, 三角 but Julie and Kevin have 说 other things about the 显示 that have proved false. There's no reason why they can't end the 爱情 三角形, 三角 for good 由 4x22, make DE a couple for the whole of Seasons 5-6, and give Stefan a decent story of his own and a new 爱情 interest. If they found a way to keep SE going for the first 2 seasons, then why can't they give us Delena for seasons 5 and 6? I believe the writers have ample material and could easily do it. What I don't want to see is them doggedly pursuing the 爱情 三角形, 三角 for the last 2 seasons, because every shipper on both sides is sick and tired of it. It is no longer entertaining 或者 engaging, and there is really no sense in trying to drag it out any further when all it will cause is meaningless damage to all 3 characters.
你 might think I am being a little harsh and 你 might disagree. That's just how I feel. I feel that the writers have taken what should have been the greatest season for us and 给 us very little pay-off 由 messing us around. But I haven't 给 up on DE. They are the true 爱情 story of the 显示 forever in my eyes. But the writers need to get their act together. If they don't, then I worry for them. But not as much as I worry for the 粉丝 of this amazing ship.
