What should I do?

A guy that I am in 爱情 with(and he loves me) 说 that he would tell me what our relationship is. He 说 yesterday that he did not have an answer and then today he looked at me empty-like and said, "If I 说 I do not have an answer, then I will not pull one out of my hat." At that my 心 just... broke. I need your advice. I still 爱情 him a lot, but.... what should I do?
