Azula was still thinking. He won't deny me, I'm the Princess! I'll get it out of my head, what to say, what to say...?
Then she spoke: "Sorry I'm late, father. Good palanquin bearers are so hard to come 由 these days. So, is everything ready for our departure?"

Then she heard the words that made her die a little inside. No, not a little, a lot.

"There has been a change of plans, Azula."

It can still be good. Azula thought, The change of plans could be that we're attacking the water tribe too. 或者 that my mother really cared about me.
No, that would never happen.

"I've decided to lead the fleet of airships to Ba Sing Se alone. 你 will remain here in the 火, 消防 Nation." Ozai told Azula.

WHAT?! Azula thought, this is impossible! He doesn't even trust me anymore! That was the final string between my father and me, and now it's been cut. I have no use anymore. My 老友记 and family have betrayed me, nobody loves me. I can't trust anyone, everyone will eventually betray me. Even my 老友记 and family betrayed me and they're the people who 爱情 me most! But it looks like my father never cared. I thought he at least trusted me, but it's over, he doesn't trust me to do anything at all.


Despite how upset she was, she tried as hard as she could to remain calm.

"But I thought we were going to do this together." Azula 说 to her father.

Please rethink, please rethink!

"My decision is final."

NO! Forget my cursed life! Nobody cares about me, nobody trusts me, and nobody even fears me. At least I had fear before to calm the fact that nobody loved me.


She wasn't going to be calm anymore. She wanted to help her father!

"You ... 你 can't treat me like this! 你 can't treat me like Zuko!"

"Azula, silence yourself."

Forget about you! she thought, He should have cared about me but he didn't! I'll talk when I want to! He can't tell me what to do!


"But it was my idea to burn everything to the ground!" She 说 to Ozai, "I deserve to be 由 your side!"

"Azula!"

Maybe I took it too far. He is my father after all, I should respect him.

"Listen to me." Ozai said.

Does he have something else to say?

"I need 你 here to watch over the homeland." Ozai told Azula,
"A very important job that I can only entrust to you."

Very important? Well it does suit me after all..

"Really?" Azula asked her father.

"And for your loyalty, I've decided to declare 你 the new 火, 消防 Lord."

Yes! I'm declared the new 火, 消防 lord! That's amazing! I must act calm though. Although what will he be?

"Fire Lord Azula? It does seem appropriate, but what about you?" She told him.

"Fire Lord Ozai is no more. Just as the world will be reborn in fire, I shall be reborn as the supreme ruler of the world. From this moment on, I will be known as ... the Phoenix King."

And he'll rule the world, and I'll just rule the 火, 消防 nation. But if he rules the world, I won't even really be able to rule the 火, 消防 nation. He thinks he's too smart for me, he better think again. But I won't talk back yet, I'll be crowned 火, 消防 Lord, I deserve it.


But I still can't trust anyone. Not one person.
