HumbleQueen Joppa, exactly. This is where it's at. We shouldn't be angry with him for the place he's in at that moment. He thinks Gwen betrayed him and is gone from his life. We don't know yet how this princess thing came up, but obviously, she's supposed to be a beautiful young woman and there are political issues. So I can see him saying, give it a go. And like someone said, hey, he's a guy. You know how a guy's face can light up in the presence of a good looking woman. So we know that deep in his heart is a woman who he thinks he can never be with. Maybe this woman can put some salve on his wounds, he thinks. I think I'm changing my mind. I think the smile is real and he's enjoying himself. I think in the beginning, he likes Mitthian. He likes her looks and is flattered by her attention. He's probably going to be thinking that maybe he can make a go of it. He's thinking she's not bad. He needs a woman. Maybe she'll do just fine. That's until Guinevere comes...
